Weekes Arrested Again: Charged With Providing Drugs To Minor

April 4, 2017

A Flomaton man has been arrested for allegedly providing marijuana to a teenage boy.

Trey Alexander Weekes, 20, was  charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and distribution of drugs to a minor. He was booked into the Escambia County (AL) Detention Center in Brewton Monday night.

Flomaton Police Chief Bryan Davis said a grandparent came forward after seeing a news report that Weekes had been arrested on unrelated charge. The grandparent told police Weekes had provided marijuana to his grandson, an allegation that Davis said the investigation supported.

The drug charges are unrelated to arrest for which Weekes was in the news last week. He was charged with two counts of rape second degree for alleged misconduct with two female victims under the age of 16.

That case, authorities said, will be presented to a Escambia Co. Grand Jury for “further prosecutorial efforts”.

Anyone with further information is asked call the Escambia County (AL) Sheriff’s Office at (251) 809-0741 or visit their website at escambiacountysheriffal.org.

Dad’s view I can see why you are upset at this situation but and I quote you “Those3 kids dads should have some alone time with this punk to show him what a real man is all about.” Additional violence just isn’t the answer. Be upset sure. But don’t go all vigilante on anybody. That doesn’t solve anything.

Youth Advocate I completely agree with you. People are so quick to judge these days. People need to stop bashing him and pray for him instead.

    @Jonathan:
Seems more like a case of an adult acting like a kid to me. If you don’t want to know what it’s like behind bars, don’t do the things that he is being accused of. It’s that simple.

Don’t care who he lost or “how good a guy he is”. He is a petiffile plane and simple. Not a good guy not someone who is grieving a petiffile.

@kathybrady….ok he so good would let him near your teenage girls…I for one wouldn’t give the courts the chance to decide innocent or guilt….I would take care of hI’m and society would be better off for it

sheesh, I feel like I’m living in California now. Good boy? Sure, maybe before he started having sex with minors and selling/supplying them with illegal narcotics. This guy has a screw loose in his head that’s causing him to get it this crap. I’d be willing to bet that he knows that both of the crimes are FELONIES? If he can be rehabilitated to be a semi-productive member of society it might just be a matter of time before that screw loosens back up again. Good boy………..BAH!

  8. Dad's view on April 4th, 2017 5:19 pm

Those3 kids dads should have some alone time with this punk to show him what a real man is all about. Uncle Sam told me I was grown at18 when he put a rifle in my hands and told me to defend punks like him

  9. Fact of the matter on April 4th, 2017 4:44 pm

He is not the first 20 year old to lose a parent and he’s not the first 20year old to be attempted by a minor, and then gives marijuana to a kid. Seems like a pattern to me. Maybe next time it’s your child that becomes his prey, you want to give him another chance then. Tell me this, what is a20 year old doing hanging out with a bunch of kids. His defense may just be mentally disfunctional

Here’s a thought…Before anyone decides to jump on the let’s ring him up by his ears bandwagon, let’s take a second & think about this….This young adult, who can be considered a youthful offender in the eyes of the court, needs prayer! Also, unfortunately this young man just lost his Mother several months back. That in itself, is hard enough for any age, not to mention a young person. Apparently he has some issues… So, I say regardless of the truth of the matter, let’s pray that he learns from this situation & gets whatever help he needs. Why kick someone when they are down? I for one have made plenty of mistakes in my life & I am in NO place to judge this young man or anyone for that matter!!!
Also, instead of tearing down our youth, why shouldn’t we find ways to help guide them OUT of the system & out of the bad decisions they are making. Therefore guiding them into becoming productive citizens in our communities. I fully believe it all starts with PRAYER!!
I am in NO way defending this young mans actions, I am just stating let’s try to help our youth how we can & not give up on them so easily!
Now, if anyone reading this has never made a bad or wrong decision, I commend you!! However, I was taught this at a very early age & try my best to live by it…
“Judge NOT, lest ye be judged…” Mathew 7:1-3.

I seriously can’t believe the comment that I just read from KathyBrady. That comment alone has just hit an all-time low at its finest. Trey didn’t force them to smoke it? Well, why was he even selling it to them in the first place? Give me a break, does Trey not know that selling drugs, in general, is wrong? Of course, he did. He worked as a correctional officer at the Century prison before all this happened. One would assume that job alone would make someone think twice before stooping to the all-time low of selling drug to kids. Talk about problems with inmates getting contraband; he was probably their main distributor also. Judging from the last incident where he got arrested for rape, Trey is a predator on many levels and needs to be held accountable for his actions. He prays on our children not only having sex with underage children (whether consensual or not, it’s WRONG) but by also being a “DISTRIBUTOR” of drugs. Of course, there is a drug problem amongst our children and TREY is the primary source and cause of it!!!!! I’m just wondering how many students lives he’s going to be responsible for destroying, simply by being the source of their early drug addiction? You can talk him up to being a good boy all you want, but at the end of the day, he’s always has been rotten to the core.

  12. To the delusional on April 4th, 2017 12:32 pm

Your good boy is a grown young man that used his free will to commit serious crimes to describe rape as misconduct? really? The reality is if he is found guilty he’s going to prison.

  13. Taylon on April 4th, 2017 12:03 pm

Based on that logic, KathyBrady, drug dealers should not be arrested since they are not making the addicts use drugs.

  14. Seriously? on April 4th, 2017 11:41 am

Is KathyBrady serious? “Trey is a good boy…he didn’t make someone smoke it” That is delusion at it’s finest. So, the fact that he’s a drug dealer is irrelevant because he’s not forcing it into someone’s body? Also, take note that he was charged with TWO COUNTS OF RAPE for victims UNDER THE AGE OF 16 last week. If he’s a good boy, I’d hate to see what your idea of an evil person is.

KathyBrady, you must be of some relation to him..in which case I’ll pray you find peace and understanding.

Does anyone else if it very odd that this 20 yr. old adult man seems to hang out with underage kids a lot? At least that’s the conclusion one would gather since all his charges involve minors? Just a thought.

  16. Jonathan on April 4th, 2017 10:59 am

I don’t see how people can say keep him off the streets? You don’t know the boy. A lot of this is just little kids wanna be grown but scared to take the consequences that was brought unto them. And until you know what the jail/prison life is about then don’t comment cause you don’t know the half of what the young people go through being inside an adult facility ☺️ And to talk about someone else’s kid is low. Put your own kid in the situation and have people talk like that about yours. You wouldn’t like it neither.

  17. ProudArmyParent on April 4th, 2017 10:34 am

KathyBrady, are you for real? Sure he didn’t make anyone smoke the crap, but he seems to have provided it. Look here’s a thought if he doesn’t want to get in trouble with minors, don’t hang out with them. Trey is a man not a child, and the law sees him as such.

  18. joe on April 4th, 2017 10:21 am

The thing is lot of under age kids may be smoking it but if he gave my underage daughter pot I would have him throws under the jail jus cause others are doin it still don’t make it right if he did it he deserves to do some time and suffer the consequences but that’s my opinion

  19. Jc on April 4th, 2017 10:12 am

2 things: if he is such a good guy why was he giving drugs to a minor as well as having sexual relations with girls under 16 years of age. That right there deserves at least 15 years in jail alone.
2nd thing is these people in the state pin also go out and pick up garbage and debris removal on the state roads as well as the county inmates assisting road crews with repairs throughout the counry

    Good guy…what a joke

  20. Ashley on April 4th, 2017 10:06 am

@kathybrady it’s always hard to see and learn of possible wrong doings by someone you know. No he probably didn’t force the kid to smoke anything, but distribution, especially to a minor, is against the law. It’s very sad so see all these charges pile up on another young person. We as adults and parents need to step up and teach our children better.

  21. DJC on April 4th, 2017 10:02 am

    @kathybrady:
He possibly is a good person. The problem is he is not a boy. He is a 20 yr old adult and is being accused of making some very poor choices that has affected underage youths.

  22. KathyBrady on April 4th, 2017 9:36 am

Trey is a good boy, I can’t understand why he’s being blamed for these charges, he didn make someone smoke it,what everyone don’t understand is a lot of under age kids are doing drugs, so they want to blame this young man for it. Pray for Trey, let the truth be told.

  23. anne 1of2 on April 4th, 2017 9:19 am

This guy needs to be off the streets. He will never get a job which is sad since he is so young. But these young people also need to be put to work inside these prisons, not just sit on their behinds being fed by us.
