Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church Women’s Conference
Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church will hold their 4th Annual Women’s Conference, “Courageous”, on Saturday, July 23, 2016, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The conference includes a continental breakfast and light lunch. District 5 Town Hall Meeting
District 5 Commissioner Steven Barry will host a town hall meeting Monday, July 25 at 5:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. at the Langley Bell 4-H Youth Center, located at 3730 Stefani Road in Cantonment. The open forum meeting will provide residents an opportunity to get updated information about community issues and voice their concerns or questions. Jay High School Football Camp
Jay High School will host a football camp on Monday, July 25, for children ages five to 12 years old. Camp will be held at the Jay High School football stadium. Registration is from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. on the football field. Camp is 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Cost is $25. Campers will do individual drills and learn valuable team concepts in a fun atmosphere. Emmaus Road Quartet Concert
The Emmaus Road Quartet will be singing at the First Baptist Church of Bratt at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29. Everyone is invited. A love offering will be taken. The church is located at 4570 West Highway 4 just west of Northview High School.
Benefit Car Wash and Bake Sale
A benefit car wash and bake sale will be held Saturday, July 30, beginning at 10 a.m. at Jimmie’s Grill in Molino for Feliciano “Zapp” Santana. Zapp is a devoted volunteer fireman and was involved in a recent motorcycle accident. All donations and funds raised will go towards medical care and expenses. Molino Hot Shots will be washing cars for donations.
Caleb Dennis in Concert
Caleb Dennis, a native of Walnut Hill, will be in concert at Enon Baptist Church on Sunday, July 31, at 6 p.m. A love offering will be be taken. All are welcome. No tickets necessary. The church is located at 7121 Highway 97A in Walnut Hill.
Dedria’s Gift School Supply Giveaway
Dedria’s Gift will be passing out free book bags filled with school supplies on Saturday, August 6, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Nadine McCall Road Side Park in Century. This event is open for all Escambia County children.
First Baptist Church of Cottage Hill Craft Fair
First Baptist Church of Cottage Hill will hold a craft fair for missions benefit on Saturday, August 6, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be art vendors, a multi-family yard sale, fish plates, kids art project area and face painting. The church is located at 230 Williams Ditch Rd in Cantonment.
North Escambia Bee Association Meetings
The North Escambia Bee Association holds their monthly meetings at the Molino Community Complex on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are for both experienced and inexperienced beekeepers who want to stay current on modern beekeeping practices. There is a covered dish supper for those that want to participate. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the scheduled topics about bees. Aerospace Community Demonstration and Day Camp
The Northwest Florida Modelers and Escambia County 4-H will present an Aerospace Community Demonstration and Day Camp on Wednesday, June 15, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the 4-H Outdoor and Agriculture Education Center located at 5681 Chalker Road in Molino. There will be flight demonstrations, helicopters, drones, computer flight simulations and more. Register at the 4-H office or call (850) 475-5230. Cost is $5 per youth.
