Boutwell Earn Doctorate

Jay High School graduate Brian Boutwell has earned his doctorate degree from Florida State University.

The 2003 Jay graduate earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology in August 2006, his master’s degree in criminology in December 2007 and his Ph.D in criminology in August 2010 from FSU.

He is an assistant professor at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, were he will teach a criminological theory this fall. His family — Billy, Wanda and Brett — currently reside in Jay.
