Weekly Veterans Service Office Hours Coming To Century

October 4, 2026

Military veterans and their families in North Escambia will have regular access to local, in-person assistance starting this week in Century.

National Veteran Service Officer Tim Chandler will begin holding weekly office hours every Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Century Chamber of Commerce building, located at 7811 North Century Boulevard.

The service is completely free, confidential, and offered on a walk-in basis with no appointment necessary.

Chandler will be available to assist veterans, surviving spouses, and dependents with navigating Department of Veterans Affairs programs and documentation, including:

  • Filing and managing VA disability and pension claims
  • Assisting with VA health care system enrollment
  • Answering questions regarding VA benefits and eligibility programs
  • Preparing, filing, and reviewing the status of appeals

The outreach is presented in cooperation with local veteran support organizations to help regional veterans avoid traveling long distances across the county to access accredited benefits representation.

For additional information, veterans can visit the Century Chamber of Commerce during the designated Tuesday morning hours.
