Numerous Escambia County Sporting Events Canceled By Weather

Numerous sporting events have been canceled or rescheduled across Escambia County.

  • High school football games in Escambia County have been rescheduled for Thursday night. The West Florida High School game has been postponed to a later date TBA.
  • Saturday’s home UWF game against Northwestern State has been canceled.
  • A weekend tournament at the Molino Ballpark has been canceled. Organizers are working to reschedule the tournament.
  • All Escambia River Conference games for this week have been canceled (including Century, Flomaton, Jay, Atmore).
  • The NWE Chiefs Homecoming Walkout planned for Thursday will be postponed until Oct. 22. Saturday’s game between the Chiefs and Navarre Raiders has been canceled.
  • The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have canceled Saturday’s fall baseball exhibition between the Florida State Seminoles and Auburn Tigers. It will not be rescheduled.
  • All NEP games are canceled and activities suspended on Thursday, and games will be rescheduled.
  • All Emerald Coast Youth Sports Alliance (ECYSA) games are canceled for Saturday and Sunday (including Cantonment Cowboys).
  • The Southern Tip Off at the Pensacola Bay Center featuring Mississippi State versus Florida State has been canceled. Organizers are evaluating a possible reschedule date to be announced.
