Hurricane Warning In Effect As Conditions Will Begin To Deteriorate On Friday

A hurricane warning is in effect for Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Here is your official North Escambia area forecast:

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Night: Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Tropical storm conditions possible, with hurricane conditions also possible. A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1pm. The rain could be heavy at times. Increasing clouds, with a high near 79.

Friday Night: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 10pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 79. Breezy, with an east wind around 20 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind 10 to 15 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64. Calm wind.

Columbus Day: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 85.
