Northview Chiefs Sweep Pine Forest

The Northview Chiefs dominated on their home court Thursday night in Bratt, rolling past the Pine Forest Eagles in straight sets.

Northview took control of the varsity match early and never let up. The Chiefs kept the Eagles off balance at the net, setting the pace to claim the first two sets by identical 25-14 scores. Pine Forest looked to mount a rally in the third, but Northview shut the door with a 25-13 win to finish off the sweep (25-14, 25-14, 25-13).

The junior varsity Chiefs set the tone for the night with a sweep of their own.

Northview’s JV squad pulled away for a 25-16 win in the opening set, then blew things wide open in set two. The Chiefs strung together several big service runs to run away with a 25-8 victory, capping off an unbeaten night for the program.

Pensacola Catholic Sweeps Tate

The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders swept a trio of volleyball matches from the Tate Aggies on Thursday in Cantonment.

In varsity action, Catholic took a 3-0 victory over the Aggies.
