Saturday: Escambia COVID-19 Cases Up 52; Florida Sets Another New One-Day High At 9,585

Escambia County COVID-19 cases were up by 52 and the state set another one-day high at 9,585 on Saturday, according to the Florida Department of Health.
The state smashed the old one-day record with 9,585, topping the previous high of 8,942 that was reported on Friday
Escambia County cases increased to 1,611. Santa Rosa cases were up by five to 442.
Of the 44 deaths in Escambia County, 34 have been long-term care facility residents or staff. There have been nine deaths in Santa Rosa County, seven of those at the Blackwater River Correctional Facility and none in long-term care facilities.
Statewide, there were 132,545 cases including 130,092 Florida residents. There have been 14,136 hospitalizations* and 3,390 deaths. The Florida Department of Health does not have a clear standard or definition of “recovered” and does not report a number of recovered individuals.

Escambia Has Record High 155 New COVID-19 Cases And One Death; Florida Smashes Daily Record With 8,942 New Cases

Escambia County and the state smashed daily records for the increase in COVID-19 cases reported on Friday as another Escambia County death was reported.
The number of Escambia County cases increased by 155, far exceeding the previous one day total of 92 set on Thursday. The Escambia County fatality was a 74-year old female long-term care facility resident.
The state smashed the old one-day record with 8,942, topping the previous high of 5,508 that was reported on Wednesday.
Escambia County cases increased to 1,559. Santa Rosa cases were up by 26 to 437.
Of the 44 deaths in Escambia County, 34 have been long-term care facility residents or staff. There have been nine deaths in Santa Rosa County, seven of those at the Blackwater River Correctional Facility and none in long-term care facilities.

Escambia COVID-19 Cases Up By 68; State Sees Record Increase Of 5,508 Cases

Escambia County reported a jump of 68 COVID-19 cases since Tuesday as Florida once again recorded its largest one-day increase.
The number of cases in Escambia County is now 1,312 and Santa Rosa County increased by 16 to 371, according to the Wednesday report from the Florida Department of Health.
Of the 42 deaths in Escambia County, 33 have been long-term care facility residents or staff. There have been nine deaths in Santa Rosa County, seven of those at the Blackwater River Correctional Facility and none in long-term care facilities.
Florida shattered a single-day record on Wednesday, increasing by 5,508 cases.
Statewide, there were 109,014 cases including 106,743 Florida residents. There have been 13,574 hospitalizations* and 3,281 deaths. The Florida Department of Health does not have a clear standard or definition of “recovered” and does not report a number of recovered individuals.

There were two more deaths and 42 new positive COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday in Escambia County.
The fatalities were a 53-year old female and a 100 year-old female. One was a long-term care facility resident.
The number of cases in Escambia County is now 1,244 and Santa Rosa County increased by five to 355.
