Missing, Endangered Woman Safely Located

UPDATE: The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says this missing endangered woman has been located safely.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing and endangered adult.

Kayla Southern, 22, was last seen Tuesday morning on Mobile Highway in the Beulah area. She is 5-feet, 6-iches, 140 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information or see her, call the ECSO at (850) 436-9620.

10,000 Pound Food Distribution This Afternoon At Carver Park In Cantonment

The Cantonment Improvement Committee will hold a 10,000 pound food distribution today at Carver Park, 208 Webb Street.

The food distribution will begin at 3:30 p.m. and continue while supplies last for anyone in need of food. Line up on Webb Street facing north; food will be loaded into vehicles. Identification is required.

Johnson & Johnson ‘One Shot’ COVID-19 Vaccine Available Wednesday In Walnut Hill

The Florida Department of Emergency Management is offering the Johnson & Johnson one-shot COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. in Walnut Hill.

The vaccination clinic will be held at the Walnut Hill Community Center at 7850 Highway 97, near the Walnut Hill Fire Station. Any Florida resident age 18 and older is eligible; a proof of residency must be provided.

Tropical Storm Ana Forms In The Atlantic, The First Storm Of 2021 Hurricane Season

The first named storm of the 2021 hurricane season formed near Bermuda on Saturday.

Tropical Storm Ana is expected to speed up and move toward the northeast through Monday. Gradual weakening is expected Sunday and Sunday night, and Ana is expected to dissipate by Monday. Ana poses no threat to North America.
