September 15, 2026
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos recently honored their “Twirly Girl,” Northview High School graduate Brianna Smith, for 10 years with the team.
Before graduating in 2017, Smith twirled at Northview, where as a majorette she was known for performing with fiery batons.
Smith is now in her fourth year of teaching at Byrneville Elementary School.

I have enjoyed watching Twirly Girl for years. Your performances at both the Blue Wahoos and UWF football games were marvelous. Both of my grandaughters posed for pictures with you. It was so nice of you to let them get on top of the dugouts with you and do whatever it was yall did. Haha And Lily enjoyed talking to you right beside the band section of the bleachers. Can you believe she’s in high school now.
Brianna, keep being everyone’s favorite twirling celebrity and role model for little twirlers.
Congratulations. You were always so special and so hard working. Glad that the World is seeing your amazing talent.
