Beulah Man, A Former School Custodian, Sentenced To Prison For Trying To Lure Child For Sex

A Beulah man who was working as a school custodian has been sentenced to state prison this week for trying to lure a child for sex.
Chad Lane Wren, now 57, was charged in October 2025 by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement with soliciting or luring a child to engage in sexual conduct. After pleading no contest this week, he was sentenced to 36 months in prison with credit for 249 days served. He was also sentenced to five years of probation and designated as a sexual offender.
He was ordered to have no contact with any minor following his release.
According to court documents, he arranged to meet who he believed to be a 14-year-old for sex, but the person was actually an FDLE agent. “I prefer younger,” he texted, according to FDLE.
Additional charges of traveling to meet a child for obscene purposes and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony were dropped.
Wren resigned from his position as a custodian at Blue Angel Elementary School on the day of his arrest.

Why would they not exterminate him? He’s not learning any lessons getting 3 years. In prison he’s going to be extra horny when he gets out now. That should.

Sex offenders need to be eligible for death penalty. Especially pedophiles. It is disgusting. How can a guy who doesn’t pay taxes get more penitentiary time than a guy that destroys a child’s life? What is wrong with society?
@mnon…..I understand your point and agree the online use of our children should be better monitored but how about a different solution? It seems as if once a week or more, these child predators are being arrested and semtenced for a crime they have previously committed. Increase the sentences and penalties to the point that it is an actual deterrent to prey on children and quit trying to rehabilitate because that does not work.
Posting a red dot map in schools or even showing pictures of these people won’t do anything, because they aren’t on the streets like the 1960s looking for kids people! They are online, playing kids games and grooming them through game chats and social media platforms. C’mon! Think. So quit letting cell phones, tablets and computers babysit your kids and get them off these devices or at the very least install software on them so you can monitor what they are doing, or a home network setup to monitor their screens like at a job. Kids getting caught up online is 100% the parent’s fault for not monitoring their children like they should be.
I think it is time to post all of those red dot photos in every school just like wanted posters. If children recognize these people they will know to run for help when they see one of them and not give them a chance come near them.
