William Marcus ‘Mark’ Allen

William Marcus “Mark” Allen, 63, of Atmore, Alabama, passed away on June 30, 2026, in Atmore. He was born on September 21, 1962, in Pensacola, Florida.

Mark was a graduate of Escambia Academy and earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University. He spent much of his career working alongside his father and family at Harold Allen’s Mobile Homes. Throughout his life, he also pursued several other professional opportunities, including serving as a Finance and Insurance Manager for the Southern Region of Camping World USA.

Mark had a deep appreciation for creativity, craftsmanship, and lifelong learning. He enjoyed woodworking, sculpting, painting, and creating chainsaw art. He was passionate about history, horticulture, religious studies, and military history, and had a lifelong fascination with airplanes, submarines, and tanks. He also loved dogs and cherished the companionship of his beloved Frenchie, Echo, Belle, and Big Foot. Above all else, Mark treasured spending time with his family and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of his life.

A faithful member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Mark lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Allen; his son, William Marcus Allen Jr.; his brother, Mike Allen; and his nephew, Christopher Allen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amalia Lunsford Allen of 17 years; his mother, Mary Ann Allen; his children, Keenan Allen, Lindsey Allen, Brittney (Brandon) Lami, Emily Allen, Lillie (Dalton) Meadows, Madyux Allen, Josi Watson, and Kass Chuop; his brother, Ethan Allen; his sister, Vickey Allen; and his five cherished grandchildren, Parrish, Rush, Lorelei, Mary-Kathryn, and Tegan. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, with Father Joseph “Jogi” Chacko officiating. Interment will follow at Woods/Mothershed Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Blake Allen, Zach Allen, Bradley Geck, Jamie Wimberley, Jacob Maholovich, and Tony Antrim. The eulogy will be delivered by Jeff Gibbs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Gibbs, Danny Lambert, Ronnie Lambert, Norman “Peanut” Lambert, David Goodman, David Manley, Eddie Cole, Mike Hoffman and Dennis Biggs.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
