Log Truck Driver Pronounced Deceased After Highway 29 Crash

The driver of a log truck was pronounced deceased on Monday afternoon following a crash on Highway 29 north of Molino.

The crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. on southbound Highway 29, just south of North Barth Road and Camp O’ the Pines.

The log truck ran off the roadway and struck a power pole near the woodline. The driver was pronounced deceased by Escambia County EMS.

A pickup truck was also damaged, but exactly how was not immediately  clear. The pickup driver was not seriously injured.

Further details have not been released by FHP.
