Jay Man Convicted of Aggravated Animal Cruelty For Killing Kitten

A Jay man has been convicted of aggravated animal cruelty for killing his former girlfriend’s kitten
Gunner Cole Bush, 21, was convicted by a Santa Rosa County jury of aggravated animal cruelty.
In the early morning hours of December 9, 2023, Bush tortured a kitten to death, according to prosecutors. He moved into the home of his then-girlfriend and her family in the summer of 2023.
During that time, two other cats went missing, the State Attorney’s Office said. One of the cats had been in the family for five years. Bush was also the last person seen with one of the cats. After the death of the kitten on December 9, 2023, the family discovered the remains of the two other cats nearby.
The State Attorney’s Office said a tool used to mutilate the kitten was found in Bush’s truck.
The case was investigated by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and Santa Rosa County Animal Services. Special assistance was provided by the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, which conducted DNA analysis on a tool used to harm the kitten and performed a necropsy on the deceased animal.
Bush will be sentenced on July 27.

“Gunner” seems like an appropriate name for someone with psychopathic behavior. I truly hope he receives the maximum sentence for his sadistic and disgusting actions.Yiu can’t get much more helpless than a cute little kitten.
This man needs prayer alright. Prayer that he gets the same thing done to him as he did to the kitten and the other two cats that he probably killed.
What a loser and why did the family let him live there anyway…….
Mark my words: We’ll hear of this guy again. Every serial killer in the history of this country abused animals early on, usually as adolescents or latter teen years. It’s almost like the animals were practice. Those soul-sick cravings only tend to fester and become more persistent. This man needs prayer, as do those in the family he victimized.

Yeesh, if he was messed up enough to do that to a baby kitten, it makes you wonder what would’ve happened to his ex girlfriend if they’d stayed together…
What kind of family a) lets their kid move into their girlfriend’s family’s home and b) What kind of family allows their daughter’s boyfriend to move into their home? This is where it starts. A young man that does this has no respect for his girlfriend or her family. This is where the disrespect and feelings of entitlement starts. This happens more often than you may think! BE A PARENT FIRST – Protect your children even if they are 21 years old. I kid that does this to a poor innocent animal is absolutely capable of much worse! I pray the judge puts him away for the maximum time allowed!
