Linda Odom Gibbson

Linda Odom Gibbson, age 79, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on November 24, 2025. Linda was born on December 2, 1945, to Ollie Brooks Odom and Verlie Mae Stewart Odom in Bay Minette, AL, but spent most of her life in Pensacola, FL. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her, Gran. She loved Pensacola Beach, and she and her husband, John, enjoyed living on South Padre Island, TX, for a short period of time. She loved to host and organize gatherings and tea parties of which she did as a small business for a period of time. In her spare time, she also enjoyed listening to opera music, reading books out of her impressive home library, and teaching her son Shane the fine art of sewing.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Gibbson, her sister Brenda Odom Hebert, and her brother, Bruce Darrel Odom.

Linda is survived by her children, Shane (Debra) Fickling of Pensacola, FL, Kirk (Erika) Fickling of Jacksonville, FL, and Jill (Chad) Conyers of Cincinnati, OH; her brother, Bobby Odom of Perdido, AL; her sister, Cindy Odom of Manhattan, NY; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sullivan Cemetery in Nokomis, AL. Interment will follow in Sullivan Cemetery.

Linda’s family will miss her dearly, but they have the hope of seeing her again through their mutual Faith and Trust in their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
