Frances Delito Mayhair

Mrs. Frances Delito Mayhair, age 79, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was a native of Gateswood, Alabama and spent most of her life in Cantonment, Florida.

Delito was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, but above all she was a devoted christian and faithful member of Farm Hill Baptist Church. Delito worked for many years and retired from Southern Prestressed Concrete as a payroll clerk. Later she worked for several years at Sand and Dirt in Cantonment, Florida before fully retiring.

Delito loved family gatherings where she could visit and fellowship with her numerous siblings and family. Delito was the youngest of 10 siblings born to Thomas and Frances Allen of Gateswood, Alabama.

Delito was married for 61 years to the love of her life Lloyd Mayhair and is survived by other loving members of her family, son Thomas (Connie) Mayhair, daughter Tracy Yates (John Ransom), sister Annette (Jerry) Garner, sister-in-law Irene Doyle, three grandchildren, Phillip Mayhair, Ashlin Smith and Brittany Yates, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Delito was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Frances Allen, brothers Norman, Alton, James Thomas (JT) and Orlan Allen, sisters Ruby Isaac, Ada Barbee, Eula Boone and Bobbie Flowers.

Funeral services were held Thursday April 10, 2025, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Pallbearers were nephews Keith Allen, David Allen, Wes Garner, Jason Mayhair, Chris Mayhair and grandson Phillip Mayhair.
