William “Billy” Ellis McKissack was a loving husband father and grandfather. He passed away peacefully and went to meet his Lord on July 20, 2021 in Pensacola, Fl.

Billy was born at home on January 25, 1945. He was the youngest of ten children born and raised in Bradley. He graduated from W.S. Neal High School in 1962. He married Carolyn McGriff McKissack in Pensacola Florida in 1971. He retired from Monsanto where he worked for 35 years. He loved music and played in a band for many years in and around the Pensacola/Atmore area. He and his wife resided in Molino, Fl where they were close to their children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Carolyn McKissack, daughter Kelly McKissack Wilson of Molino, FL and son William Eric McKissack (Laurisa McKissack) of Cantonment, FL. He loved to be outdoors and was a die-hard Roll Tide fan. He enjoyed NASCAR races, football games, playing golf, cooking and spending time with his family. He was a smart, funny and loving man who had many lifelong friends. Although he was a man of few words, there are not enough words to describe how great of a person he was. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
