He married Carolyn McGriff McKissack in Pensacola Florida in 1971. He retired from Monsanto where he worked for 35 years. He loved music and played in a band for many years in and around the Pensacola/Atmore area. He and his wife resided in Molino, Fl where they were close to their children and grandchildren.
