Youth Director Accused Of Hiding Camera In Church Bathroom Now Charged With Child Pornography Possession

June 12, 2021

The youth director arrested a week ago for allegedly recording people with a hidden camera in a church bathroom is now charged with possessing child porn.

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office investigators served a search warrant at the home of  37-year old David Patrick Nims located in the 7400 block of Hidden Valley Road after arresting him for video voyeurism.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to Calvary Baptist Church on Pine Forest Road after a hidden video surveillance camera was located in a bathroom on June 7. Nims served as the volunteer youth director at the church.

Electronic devices which were seized during the search of Nims’ home, and a laptop containing more than 100 child pornography files discovered, according to the ECSO. Investigators said none of the child victims in the files appear to have a local connection but instead it appeared the images were downloaded from the internet.

Nims was charged with possession of child pornography, in addition to the original charge of second degree felony video voyeurism by a person 18 or older, who is responsible for the welfare of a child younger than 16. The ECSO said more charges could be added as Special Victims Unit investigators continue to analyze additional digital files.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said anyone that believes they may be a victim of Nims, or knows that someone that may be a victim, is asked to call them at (850) 436-9620.

Chris — That’s not a work of the flesh, that’s the work of a demon possessed psychopath!! It makes me wonder if you are one by taking up for him.

This man, if he is guilty, is not a Christian but a pedophile! Who says? Well I believe it was Christ.
Matt 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Yep it is pretty evident that whoever placed these cameras and was viewing the images were pretty ravenous, and not there to spread the gospel, or share the love of Christ.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. This guy did not resist the devil.
Talk to your children. If they became his prey, let them know it’s not their fault. I know the child or children are feeling ashamed and scared to tell their parents. Let them know they are not in trouble.

He did more then just victimize people. THESE PEOPLE ARE CHILDREN. An eye for an eye. The ones defending this pedophile is absolutely absurd. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing there was more than just Pornography of the babies. Watch and see.

This creep not only hid behind religion to conceal the DEMON inside him, he preyed on our most innocent children. Too bad we can’t just push him through a portal to hell where he actually belongs.

This is a sinner, just like you and me. He fell to the most basic temptation; the flesh.

I was never defending him, only stating exactly what the Bible says about sin and eternal life. I personally think this is the height of abuse of power and anyone that harms a child or promotes pedophilia deserves life in prison with no possibility of parole. These monsters need to be removed from society so they do not harm a child again, because they usually do statically. Now with all that said, I will pray he repents while serving this life term, I hope he gets his heart right… it is sad to lose a soul. That all my good readers is the Christian in me.

People use their positions everywhere to abuse people, both verbally and physically.

No one was defending him! Sin is indefensible…my sin, his sin. Just because he was in a church doesn’t mean he is saved but that is between him and God. In John 8:7, Jesus let us know that we all have sin and that is what we should worry about. Sin is sin to God! If this guy knew his Bible he would have known he would be exposed at some point and that’s what happened. We all need Jesus and if He saved us we need to live like it. We will all stand before the Lord one day. He will judge the unsaved by Godly standards (not human standards) that’s why it is imperative that we know what His standards are. The saved, He will judge our works.

“can’t believe people are defending a pedophile”
That’s because he “claims” to be a “Christian”
They’re the worse kind. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
It freaks me out how blind some are..
