Instagram Pot Photos Land Cantonment Woman In Jail

January 29, 2015

A Cantonment woman’s latest “selfie” was a mugshot at the county jail after a DCF investigator found Instagram photos and video of her smoking pot and rolling up marijuana cigarettes, and after she and a juvenile tested positive for drugs.

Stacy Jo Ferguson-Sharp, 31, was charged with felony child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was booked into the Escambia County Jail without bond due to an outstanding warrant for violating probation in a 2013 DUI case.

A Florida Department of Children and Families investigator told the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office that she had located Instagram photos and video of what appeared to be  Ferguson-Sharp smoking marijuana out of a “bong” and pictures of her “rolling up blunts” on a social media web site.

Ferguson-Sharp had blood shot eyes and slurred speech when she meet with the investigator, but refused to submit to a urinalysis to test for drugs, according to an arrest report. A juvenile living in her household did test positive for marijuana use, the report states.

actually, I still consider this a great country, but wonder at what point in the past anyone considers it to have been even greater than it is now.
    Before Obama?
    Before Bush (either)?
    Before Clinton?
    Before Reagan?
    Before Carter?
    Before Ford?
    Before Nixon?
    When and why?

I don’t see how this is any different than a parent giving their child achohol see I bet many of the people don’t see this but I know when I was a teen I could find any drug I wanted but I didn’t do any as a matter of fact I bet its just as easy and no one knows if my friend gave it to the minor or was the minor out with friends and consumed it do you know??? No you don’t and neither do I but God please be with my friend and help her through this time in her life….. *~* FREE STACY~*~

  8. Mark on January 29th, 2015 8:02 pm

@Mark T, it’s not illegal search and seizure when she is displaying it publicly.

@Marshall, why haven’t you included “legal” alcohol that so many youngsters can readily get?

There are WAY more issues with alcohol, (deaths, accidents, addiction) than pot.

  9. Mark T on January 29th, 2015 7:31 pm

Not defending this person at all, but what about illegal search and seizure.. Isn’t that in the Constitution or has that been disregarded in this once Great Country !

    CONTEMPLATING:
“A classic “roll” model she is not.”

    Role, not.
    Roll, depends on how she

    Never mind.
I know this is serious but this sign of Mensa material is fascinating.
(Her, not the homonyms. Those are understandable.)

Thanks…GMAN; but Colorado doesn’t need her kind in the state…we have plenty of our own although most of them have lived here for ages. Not
a big influx of people moving to Colorado so they can legally buy and smoke pot!!
she needs to stay in Florida and maybe get involved with the legalization of pot in Florida campaign…

    Weed doesn’t fry your brain…

Keep thinking that…Bill Nye the Science Gye…

  14. BT on January 29th, 2015 2:27 pm

So, the argument against legalizing pot is that you’re afraid kids might be able to get it? If you have a teen that can’t figure out how to get pot, then you have a special teen.

  15. BB on January 29th, 2015 1:17 pm

Well, that’s why you don’t post such things all over social media.

  16. JustSaying on January 29th, 2015 12:37 pm

Marijuana actually doesn’t fry your brain.. Scientific fact.. Maybe that meth though.

  17. Marshall on January 29th, 2015 12:17 pm

Yo teens … I think the “underlining cause putting the teenager at risk” was the fact that she tested positive for Marijuana Use while in the control of the adult.

While Marijuana may not be the evil drug that some claim, this type of thing is what is wrong with it being Legalized. Young teens and the like, do not need to be getting high…they need to be studying, getting an education…so they do not end up on Welfare and etc when older.

Allowing Medical Marijuana is a great deal, but as I hear stories like this, not so sure totally legalization is the way to go.

FINALLY! A Florida DCF Investigator that takes action and does not ignore the issues within the home! Way to go! She needs a raise!

  20. teens... on January 29th, 2015 8:00 am

Last time I checked teenagers found ways to get high by them selves. I hope DCF can prove mom was the one that got her high or they really don’t have much of a case here. Unless something has changed in the past 6 months DCF doesn’t take children away for parents smoking pot, there would have to be another underlining cause putting the teenager at risk.

Go investigator!!! Thank you for using all your resources to check things out. So many people think they can just time their drug usage to slip by your tests.

  24. molinoman on January 29th, 2015 5:59 am

Yep, social media + drugs = jail.

The internet is NOT your friend.

  25. Gman on January 29th, 2015 4:50 am

A classic “roll” model she is not. Perhaps she should move to Colorado were she could smoke to her hearts content.

  26. traumaqueen on January 29th, 2015 12:31 am

And they say drugs don’t fry your brain.
