Molino Ballpark Hosting Halloween Tournament And Home Run Derby

Molino Ballpark will host a Halloween Tournament this weekend, along with a Home Run Derby to kick off the festivities.

The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, and is open to recreation teams only in divisions ranging from Tee-Ball to 17U. Pool play will take place Saturday, followed by single-elimination play on Sunday. Champions and finalists will be recognized in each division. Entry fees are $125 per team, which includes three coach wristbands. Wristbands are listed at $10 daily or $15 for the weekend.

The weekend opens Friday evening, October 9, with a Home Run Derby. Entry is $15. Batters receive 10 swings or 12 pitches—whichever comes first—and must supply their own pitcher.

A champion will be awarded in each division. Outfield fence distances are:

  • Tee-Ball: 100 feet
  • Coach Pitch: 135 feet
  • Minors: 160 feet
  • Majors: 170 feet
  • Pony: 285 feet
