Watching The Gulf: Tropical Update

A tropical system formed in the Gulf of Tuesday.
The depression is moving toward slowly to the east is expected during the next couple of days. By Friday, a turn to the northeast is anticipated. On the forecast track, the system is expected to pass to the north of the Yucatan Peninsula on Thursday, and approach the U.S. northern Gulf Coast on Friday. Landfall is expected as a hurricane, and it is expected to bring heavy rainfall.
Escambia County is currently in the forecast “cone”.
