Officers Rescue Fox Entangled In Netting Near Molino

An entangled red fox is recovering thanks to a quick response from Escambia County Animal Welfare officers near Molino.
A concerned citizen called animal welfare dispatch after spotting the wild fox trapped on their property on Stout Road. Two lead animal welfare officers, Sgt. Roberson and Sgt. Agrecy, responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, the officers found the fox tangled tightly in a pile of netting on the ground. Working carefully to prevent further injury to the animal and avoid being bitten, the officers managed to cut and free the fox from the mesh.
Once freed, the fox was secured in a carrier and transported to the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida, where it will receive medical evaluation, care, and rehabilitation before eventually being returned to the wild.
