Seven High School Baseball Team To Play This Month At Blue Wahoos Stadium

High school baseball returns to Blue Wahoos Stadium during March with five games scheduled between seven local schools.
“High school baseball games are some of our favorite events of the year and we’re very excited to welcome seven local teams to our ballpark in March,” team president Jonathan Griffith said. “Giving young athletes the chance to have the full experience of playing in a professional stadium is so much fun for our staff and part of meeting our mission of improving the quality of life in our community.”
The month’s action will begin on Monday, March 15 with a matchup between Escambia High School and Gulf Breeze High School at 6:30 p.m. Gates will open at the stadium one hour before first pitch. Tickets are $8 and available now at BlueWahoos.com.
Blue Wahoos Stadium will host two games on Friday, March 26 with Tate High School and Choctaw High School playing at 4 p.m. and Navarre High School squaring off against Fort Walton Beach High School at 7 p.m. On Saturday, March 27, Navarre will play West Florida High School at 4 p.m. with Fort Walton taking on Tate at 7 p.m. Day passes good for admission to both games each day are $8 per day and available at BlueWahoos.com.
Face masks are required at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Guests may remove their face mask when seated to enjoy the games with proper physical distancing from other guests, but masks must remain on when moving about the stadium, when on the concourse, and when entering and exiting the facility.

Northview Completes Two Game Sweep Of Baker With 8-1 Win

The Northview Chiefs completed a two-game sweep over the Baker Gators 8-1 Friday night in Baker.
Kaden Odom took the win on the hill for the Chiefs, going six and a third innings while allowing one run on four hits and striking out three. Josh Landis tossed two-thirds of an inning in relief, allowing two hits, no runs and striking out one.
Rustin Pope was 2-3 at the plate for Northview with one run and one RBI. Jamarkus Jefferson was 1-2 with one and three RBIs; Odom was 1-3 with two runs and one RBI; Bryce Korinchak was 1-4 with a run; Trent Knighten had two runs, and Cody Thomas had a run.
Northview won the first game of the series Thursday night 5-4 over Baker.

The Northview Chiefs took a late lead on a Rustin Pope single in the bottom of the sixth to beat Baker 5-4 Thursday night in Bratt.
Pope led the Chiefs going 1-4 with a run and two RBIs. Bryce Korinchak was 1-2 with a run; Luke Bridges was 0-2 with an RBI; Trent Knighten was 0-1 with an RBI; and Josh Landis was 1-4.
Landis earned the win for NHS, going one and one-third innings allowing one hit, no runs, no walks and striking out three. Jamarkus Jefferson pitched five and two-third innings, allowing four runs on six hits, walking two and striking out nine.

SOFTBALL
Jay 12, Northview 2
The Jay Royals defeated the Northview chiefs 12-2 Thursday night in Jay.
Rylie Cochran pitched five innings for the Royals, allowing two runs on one hit.
Emma Gilmore went four and a third innings for the Chiefs, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out four.
Cochran, Alayna Lowery and Madison Mathis each had home runs in the fifth inning for Jay.
Kailyn Watson was 1-2 with a run for Northview, and Chloe Ragsdale had one run.

Crestview Gets 7-6 Walk-off Win Over Tate Varsity; Aggie JV Beats Crestview; Freshmen Blanked By Baker (With Gallery)

Crestview got a 7-6 walk-off win over the Tate Aggies Thursday night. The Bulldogs were down 6-4 in the bottom of the seventh when Drew Gillis doubled, scoring three runs.
Josiah Glodfelter allowed four hits and one run in six innings while striking out 10 and walking one.
Dalton Bowen went 2-for-3 for Tate. Drew Reaves, Zak Licastro, Bray Touchstone, Jackson Penton, and Tanner Rochon added one hit each for the Aggies.

Tate 17, Crestview 1 (JV)
Tate High School JV handily beat Crestview 17-1 Thursday.
Ethan McAnally homered for Tate in the second, going 3-3 with 3 RBIs. Cade Kelly, Paul Whitson, Javin Floyd, and Colton Swiers had two each each, and Alan Beasley added one.
Swiers tossed three on the mound, allowing one hit on two runs, striking out five and walking two. Cade Kelly pitched two, walking one and striking out four.

Baker (Mobile, AL) 10, Tate 0 (Freshmen)
Baker of Mobile, Alabama, blanked the Tate Aggies Freshmen 10-0 Thursday.
Neal Croom went for four innings on the hill, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out five and walking one. Conner Hassell tossed one inning allowing four hits on four runs, and Connor Baker went for an inning allowing one run.
Ketch King, Joseph Polk, and Hassell had one hit apiece for Tate.

Tate Aggie Freshmen Beat Navarre (With Photo Gallery)

The Tate High Aggie Freshman beat Navarre on Wednesday.
Gabe Patterson went four innings on the mound for the Aggies, allowing just one hit, no runs and striking out five. Cole McNair pitched three innings, allowing one run in the seventh inning on one hit and striking out six.
McNair and Connor Baer had two hits each for Tate. Conner Hassell and Patterson each had one hit.

The Tate Aggies boys and girls tennis teams beat Milton on Tuesday. The Boys won 7-0 and Girls were 4-3 overall.
BASEBALL
Milton 6, Tate 2
The Milton Panthers defeated the Tate Aggies 6-2 Tuesday night.
Tanner Rochon went three innings on the mound for the Aggies, allowing one run on four hits and striking out two with Jackson Penton, Jadon Fryman and Tucker Griffin rounding out the game.
Tate high three hits from Dalton Bowen, two from Dylan Godwin, and one each from Drew Reaves, Zak Licastro and Jackson Penton.
SOFTBALL
Tate 9, Escambia 1
The Tate Lady Aggies beat the Escambia Gators in 9-1 Tuesday night after four runs in the fight inning and another four in the sixth.
Abbie Burks pitched a complete seven inning game, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four.
For Tate, Christina Mason had three hits in four at bats. Kennedy Turner had two hits, and Michayla Kent, Courtney Lundquist, Sophia Jones and Courtney Adams had one hit each.

Heather Knowles had a homerun for the Chiefs Monday night.
Northview 14, W.S. Neal 1
Heather Knowles had her second home run of the week Tuesday night.

The Northview Chiefs defeated the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders in high school softball action Friday night in Bratt.
Emma Gilmore went seven innings for the Chiefs, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out five.
Kailyn Watson led Northview with two hits in three at bats with one run and one RBI. Heather Knowles went 1-3 with one run; Chloe Ragsdale went 1-3 with a run; Abigail Levins was 1-1 with a RBI.

The Tate Aggies beat the Pace Patriots 8-4 Friday night at Tate.
The game was tied AT three when Jackson Penton doubled on a 2-1 count for the go ahead run in the bottom of the fifth. Drew Reaves and Jordan Jarman had two hits each for the Aggies. Penton, Zak Licastro and Dalton Bowen had one hit each.
Josiah Glodfelter started for the Aggies on the mound. He went six and a third innings, striking out 12 and allowing three runs on four hits.

The Northview High Chiefs beat the Pensacola High Tigers 17-4 Thursday night in Pensacola.
Bryce Korinchak drove in four runs on two hits. He had runs on a second inning single, a walk in the fifth and a sixth inning single.
Luke Bridges, Jamarkus Jefferson and Rustin Pope each had two hits for the Chiefs. Kaden Odom and Trent Knighton had a hit apiece.
Jefferson pitched five innings, allowing six hits with four runs and striking out seven. Josh Landis was on the mound for a single inning, sitting down two with no hits
Tate 12, Navarre 5 (Freshmen)
The Tate Aggies Freshmen defeated Navarre 12-5 Thursday.
Joseph Polk went three innings on the mound for Tate, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out three.
Cole McNair pitched two innings, allowing one run, one hit and striking out three.
Conner Hassell had three hits for the Aggies, while McNair had two. Trey Rebber, Ketch King, and Damian Cullen had one hit each.
