Pine Meadow Elementary Fall Carnival In Saturday
October 4, 2024
Pine Meadow Elementary School will hold their Fall Carnival on Saturday, from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. at the Hadji Shrine Template, 800 West Nine Mile Road.
Early admission is $7 for children and $10 for adults. Admission at the gate is $10 for everyone. The event will feature inflatables, carnival games, face painting, fun treats, pumpkin patch withe over 100 pumpkins for choose from and more.
Concessions will be available including freshly grilled hot dogs, popcorn, Lost Pizza, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and Texas Roadhouse peanuts. There will also be multiple food trucks.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse will be there.

Tate Volleyball Hosting Dig Pink Event Today To Support Breast Cancer Research

Tate High School Volleyball will host a Dig Pink event today to support the Side-Out Foundation.
The Side-Out dedicates the majority of donations to their own metastatic breast cancer research. In addition to research, Side-Out allocates a portion of their funds to high-quality support services for cancer patients and their families, as well as college scholarships for students.
The Tate Agies will host the Pace Patriots with the freshmen beginning at 4:30, junior varsity at 5:30, and the varsity at 6:30. Pork sandwiches will be available, and there will be a basket giveaway prior to the senior match.

Friends Of The Library Fall Book Sale Is Underway

The Friends of the West Florida Public Library Fall Book Sale is now underway at the Downtown Pensacola Library. The sale features a wide variety of books, DVDs, CDs, and other materials at discounted prices.
Saturday, September 28, the sale is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. with free admission and half-off book prices. On Sunday, the sale is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with free admission and a $7 bag sale. All of the books you can fit in the provided bag are just $7 on Sunday.
The Friends of the West Florida Public Library is a non-profit organization that supports West Florida Library system. The organization has been hosting the Fall Book Sale for many years and it has become a popular event for book lovers in the community.
This year’s sale is expected to be even more successful than last year, thanks to the generous support from the community. In fact, the Friends of the West Florida Public Library recently announced that they were able to donate $50,000 to the library system earlier this month. This is the second year in a row that the organization has been able to make such a donation.
