Escambia Schools Winter Christmas Begins Today With Early Release

Friday, December 20 will be a half-day for students as Christmas break begins.
“We will be implementing a half-day schedule on Friday, December 20,” said ECPS Superintendent Keith Leonard. “We hope all of our students, staff and their families can get some much-deserved rest and relaxation and we look forward to seeing everyone after the new year.”
On all half days, schools will serve lunch and regular transportation will be provided. For more information or questions about your school’s specific release time, please contact the school.
Teachers return to work on Monday, January 6, 2025, and students return on Tuesday, January 7.
Santa To Visit The Molino Library This Evening
December 19, 2024
Santa will make a special stop at the Molino Library this evening from 5:30 until 6:30.
Bring a camera (or a phone) for photos with Santa as he listens to those special Christmas wish lists.
There will be special activities for kids as they wait to visit Santa. The Molino Library is located in the Molino Community Center, 6450-A Highway 95A in Molino.

Driver’s License, Tag, Tax Collector Services Today In Century

Driver’s license and other tax collector services will be available today in Century.
The Escambia County Tax Collector will be at the:
- Billy G. Ward Courthouse in Century on Thursday, December 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Mobile Licensing and Identification Office (MILO) is a fully functional tax collector office on wheels, offering a range of services. The mobile unit provides a convenient method to renew a driver license, obtain a replacement driver license, conversion/reciprocation of out-of-state license, change a name or address on a current driver license or identification card, and get a first-time identification card. In addition to licensing services, the mobile unit also provides an opportunity to renew or replace a vehicle registration, receive a parking placard, transfer a title, pay property taxes, and apply for a business tax receipt. Written and driving tests are not available from the MILO unit.
The Billy G. Courthouse is at 7500 North Century Boulevard.

Beulah Bash Is Today At Escambia Equestrian Center

Beulah Bash is going on from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at The Escambia County Equestrian Center.
“It’s an opportunity to explore a Hallmark movie-esque Christmas come to life in a small town atmosphere,” Campus Pastor Mike Moulton of Marcus Pointe Baptist Church Beulah said. This is the third year that Beulah Church has held the family friendly Christmas event. “It connects the church to the community and the community to the church.”
The event has fun for the entire family. There is last-minute shopping with over 100 craft vendors, entertainment, car show, food trucks, kids’ face painting, inflatables, photos with Santa, sleigh rides and pony rides. Over 4,000 people attended Beulah Bash last year.
“The is a focus on the community and the family aspect of it all,” Moulton said. “But the real reason is to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
The Escambia County Equestrian Center is located at 7750 Mobile Highway.
