Another positive COVID-19 patient was reported Sunday in Escambia County, Alabama.
There are now 31 positive cases with two deaths in the county. There have been 593 tests administered in the county, according to the Alabama Department of Health.
The Alabama Department of Health reported 7,888 total positive cases in the state out of 91,933 tests. There have been 290 deaths and 1,043 hospitalizations reported statewide.

Escambia County Adds 55 COVID-19 Cases On Sunday

An additional 55 COVID-19 cases were confirmed Sunday in Escambia County, according to the latest report from the Florida Department of Health.
Escambia County cases were up to 593 with 13 total deaths, nine of which where in long-term care facilities. Santa Rosa county’s count remained the same from Saturday to Sunday at 157. There have been eight deaths in Santa Rosa County.
A majority of the new cases in Escambia County are likely from long-term care facilities.
Statewide, there were 36,078 cases including 35,158 Florida residents. There have been 6,035 hospitalizations and 1,379 deaths.

Escambia County, Alabama, Coronavirus Cases Increase

The number of COVID-19 cases is up to 30 in Escambia County, Alabama, according to the Alabama Department of Health.
There are now 30 positive cases with two deaths in the county. There have been 564 tests administered in the county, according to ADH, a 5.3% positive rate.
The Alabama Department of Health reported 7,611 total positive cases in the state out of 91,933 tests, a 8.3% positive rate. There have been 288 deaths and 1,031 hospitalizations reported statewide.
Update: Missing Nine-Year Old From Okaloosa County Has Been Found, Amber Alert Canceled

UPDATE: A missing nine-year old from Okaloosa County has been located and the Amber Alert has been canceled.
Previous story:
A Florida Amber Alert has been issued for a nine-year old girl abducted from Fort Walton Beach by a man that may be headed to Escambia County.
Alliarra Williams, last seen in the area of the 20 block of NW Robinwood Drive in Fort Walton Beach. She was last seen wearing a pink Adidas jacket, pink shorts, and black tennis shoes. The child may be in the company of 30-year old Frankie Williams, who was last seen wearing a grey hat, a black hoodie, grey ripped jeans, and red shoes. He has a tattoo on his throat, possibly of Benjamin Franklin.
No vehicle description was provided.
The Florida Department of law enforcement said they may be headed to the Pensacola area.

Another COVID-19 long-term care death has been reported in Escambia County.
The victim was an 85-year old male with confirmed contact with a previous case and no travel history.
Escambia County cases were up six on Saturday to 538 with 13 total deaths. Santa Rosa county’s count decreased by one on Saturday due to a data adjustment. There have been eight deaths in Santa Rosa County.
Statewide, there were 35,463 cases including 34,555 Florida residents. There have been 5,945 hospitalizations and 1,364 deaths.

Two More Local COVID-19 Deaths Reported In Escambia, Santa Rosa; Escambia Cases Up By 26

Two more people in the Escambia and Santa Rosa counties have died from COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health.
Escambia County cases were up 26 on Friday to 532 with one additional death, an 82-year old female, for a total of 12. Santa Rosa was up four to 158 cases and one additional death, a 64-year old male, for a total of eight.
While the FDOH has not confirmed, the sudden uptick in Escambia County cases is believed to be related to the surge in local nursing home testing.
Statewide, there were 34,728 cases including 33,829 Florida residents. There have been 5,767 hospitalizations and 1,314 deaths.

Second COVID-19 Death Reported In Escambia County, Alabama

The second COVID-19 death in Escambia County, Alabama, was reported Friday by the Alabama Department of Health.
There are now 28 positive cases with on recorded death. There have been 509 total COVID-19 tests reported to the ADH.
Atmore Community Hospital has tested 288 patients with 22 positives. D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton has tested 157 people with three confirmed cases.
The Alabama Department of Health reported 7,085 total positive cases in the state out of 89.997 tests. There have been 279 deaths and 991 hospitalizations reported statewide.
