FDOH: Seven New Coronavirus Cases In Escambia County

The number of reported COVID-19 of cases in Escambia County increased by seven on Sunday, according to the Florida Department of Health.

The number of cases in Escambia County is now 756, and Santa Rosa remained the same at 207.

Of the 26 deaths in Escambia County, at least 18 have been long-term care facility residents or staff. There have been eight deaths in Santa Rosa County, seven of those at the Blackwater River Correctional Facility and none in long-term care facilities.

Statewide, there were 50,867 cases including 49,547 Florida residents. There have been 9,381 hospitalizations and 2,237 deaths.

After A Week With No New COVID-19 Cases, One New Positive Reported In Escambia County, Alabama

May 24, 2020

After a week with no new cases, an additional COVID-19 positive has been reported in Escambia County, Alabama.

The total number of cases now stands at 40 in the county.

Atmore Community Hospital diagnosed 34 cases while six were positive at D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton.

There have been 431 total tests administered at Atmore Community, with 387 negative and nine pending. D.W. McMillan has given 234 tests with 220 negative and eight pending.

Across the state, Alabama has recorded 13,938 confirmed case out of 182,676 tested. There have been 546 deaths and 1,589 cumulative  hospitalizations.

The Alabama Department of Health is now reporting a number of presumed recovered patients, which now stands at 7,951.

Escambia Reports One New COVID-19 Death For A Total Of 26

The number of reported COVID-19 deaths in Escambia County increased by one on Saturday to 26 as the number of cases increased by nine, according to the Florida Department of Health.

The fatality was an 85-year old long-term care facility resident that had contact with a known case.

The number of cases in Escambia County increased by nine  to 740,, and Santa Rosa was up by eight to 207.

Of the 26 deaths in Escambia County, at least 18 have been long-term care facility residents or staff. There have been eight deaths in Santa Rosa County, seven of those at the Blackwater River Correctional Facility and none in long-term care facilities.

Statewide, there were 50,127 cases including 48,814 Florida residents. There have been 9,310 hospitalizations and 2,232 deaths.

Three COVID-19 Deaths, 11 New Cases In Escambia County

Three more long-term care facility deaths in Escambia County were announced Wednesday by the Florida Department of Health, along with 11 new cases.

The deaths were females age 75. 87, and 103.

The number of cases in Escambia County increased by 11 to 734 , and Santa Rosa was up by one to 198.

Of the 24 deaths in Escambia County, 18 have been long-term care facility residents or staff. There have been eight deaths in Santa Rosa County, seven of those at the Blackwater River Correctional Facility and none in long-term care facilities.

Statewide, there were 48,675 cases including 47,381 Florida residents. There have been 8,946 hospitalizations and 2,144 deaths.

Four new COVID-19 cases were reported in Escambia County and an additonal 13 in Santa Rosa County, according to the Florida Department of Health.

The number of cases in Escambia County increased by four to 723 , and Santa Rosa was up by 11 to 197.

Of the 20 deaths in Escambia County, 15 have been long-term care facility residents or staff. There have been eight deaths in Santa Rosa County, seven of those at the Blackwater River Correctional Facility and none in long-term care facilities.

Statewide, there were 47,471 cases including 46,197 Florida residents. There have been 8,681 hospitalizations and 2,096 deaths.
