Northview Falls To Freeport 48-43 (With Photo Gallery)

The Northview Chiefs fell to the Freeport Bulldogs 48-43 in a hard fought game Friday night at Tommy Weaver Memorial Stadium in Bratt.
The Chiefs led 22-14 at the half, before closing out the third quarter with a 35-21 advantage.
But the Bulldogs bit back with a strong fourth quarter, score 27 points to 8 for the Northview.

The Chiefs, now 0-3, will look for their first win on the road next week against the Central Jaguars, also 0-3. Central lost 41-6 Friday night to the Baker Gators.

The Chiefs were robbed. This was the worst officiating crew I’ve ever seen. They call two receptions where the receiver was clearly out of bounds. Pass interference, chop block, STOPPING THE GAME WHEN THE BULLDOGS WERE ON DEFENSE AND HAD NOT CALLED A TIMEOUT. It was horrible. Absolutely horrible.
Not blaming the outcome on solely the refs but there are a couple photos on here that prove they weren’t in the right positions to make good calls. It’s always a factor you have to play with. Helps make the game interesting haha
Great game. The kids fought hard. They need to keep their head up and keep working. There’s some sneaky talent on that team. If they polish some things up and seniors lead well, could make good run in November.
