Atmore Man Charged With Attempted Rape, Assault Of Woman

An Atmorre man has been arrested for attempted rape and assault by the Atmore Police Department.

Clarence Benson was  charged with attempted rape in the first degree and assault in the third degree against an adult female victim.

The arrest came after a report was filed and an investigation.

Atmore Police have not released any specifics on the case.
