Eight Years Later, Mother’s Plea Continue For Clues In Molino Murder

May 1, 2025

Thursday marked eight years since Anna Louise Brown was murdered while jogging on Gibson Road in Molino.

On Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2017, Brown, 38, was found face down on the side of the road near the Alligator Creek bridge. She had been shot multiple times.

The search for her killer continues.

“My one hope for the case is that there be an arrest made, and the person who is responsible for Anna’s death be incarcerated for the rest of their life,” Anna’s mom Sue Brown told NorthEscambia.com on Thursday afternoon. “That person has had eight free years.”

“I would advocate for the person responsible to do the right thing and turn themselves in,” she added.

Brown pleaded for anyone that knows anything about the case to call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

Who had what to gain in this murder, or is this a psychopath, who kills for God knows what reason? I would bet on the former, rather than the latter.

Sometimes things have to be settled out of court, with a binding mandate.

If this killer manages to escape punishment of/by the judiciary or moral elements, he may feel no remorse for his victim, but he will always be looking over his sholder, in regard to/for himself.

No one escapes the Judement Of Christ, and the punishment of God. Prayers for peace in heart and mind.

Reference to John q. John if you know anything at all, please contact the investigators handling this case. You don’t have to identify yourself, just please come forward. It is amazing how a tiny bit of information can completely transform an investigation.

As a family member and out of respect for my sisters wishes I will make a short comment. ECSO needs new leads. John q seems to think he knows something, then by all means notify ECSO. If anyone knows anything then notify ECSO. We all want this murderer to be caught and punished to fullest extent of the law. IF NOT IN OUR LIFETIMETHEN THIS MURDERER WILL MEET HIS CREATOR SOME DAY

Does any one know what caliber weapon was used. Police won’t say. I have called and ask. Not being disrespectful to the family but I have a legit reason for asking. Based on visiting that bridge a week before her murder.

Nothing worse than losing a child. I don’t remember this tragedy. I can tell you with great certainty the E.C.S.O. will not ever give up on any cold case. The monster who committed this heinous act will be brought to justice eventually.
