Lana Moore Melvin

Mrs. Lana Moore Melvin, age 69, passed away, Sunday, May 21, 2023 in Atmore, AL. She was born June 1, 1953, in Pensacola, FL; and has resided most of her life in Atmore, AL. She was a floral designer for many years.

Mrs. Melvin enjoyed going fishing and to the beach. She enjoyed watching Alabama Football, and watching wrestling with her granddaughter Brittany. She enjoyed traveling with her husband while he was in the military.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles (Dorothy Davis) Moore, one daughter, Tonya Vickery Gilbert, and numerous brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Rick Melvin, of Atmore, AL; one granddaughter, Brittany Gilbert, of Atmore, AL; two brothers, Glenn (Diana) Moore, of Alabaster, AL; James (Linda) Moore, of Tampa, FL; and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Thurl Pearson officiating.
