Extreme Flood Threat This Weekend

A tropical system will bring an extreme flood threat this weekend. Rainfall amounts of 6-12 inches are possible with localized higher amounts. Moderate to major flooding along area rivers and creeks and widespread flash flooding are also possible.

Friday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind around 5 mph becoming east after midnight.
