    >>How come they all end with “The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.” But we never see the results of the investigation?

It’s not practical to report the results of every accident investigation. On minor crashes like this, it’s more of a FYI story…people want to know if someone is seriously injured. On serious/fatal crashes, the FHP puts out a media release, which we add to the story later (1-24 hours, usually). Minor crashes like this, the FHP may not close their report for weeks and the report’s not available until then.
