Police Release Victim’s Name In Alabama-Florida State Line Suspicious Death

The Flomaton Police Department has released the name of a man found dead from a gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon.
He has been identified as 18-year old Kenneth Harris, Jr., of Flomaton. The death is still being classified as “suspicious”, according to Police Chief Bryan Davis.
About 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Flomaton Police Department received a 911 call that a person had been shot. Officers from the Flomaton Police Department and the Escambia County (FL) Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Lender Street, off Alley 5, directly on the state line.
Officers arriving on the scene found Harris, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced deceased at the scene at Escambia County (FL) EMS.
Authorities determined the home was in Alabama based upon property tax records, and the Flomaton Police Department took the lead on the case.
Police Chief Bryan Davis said the the Flomaton Police Department along with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Bureau of Investigation are still conducting a death investigation.

I hope the people responsible for the heartaches they have caused to your mom and siblings get exactly what they deserve.
This was my best friend.. He used to stay right across the street from me.. I tutored him in school and he was always at my house. He was very fun to be around and he didn’t deserve to be done this way. He never was unhappy.. He made my day. I am truly going to miss my friend. Thank God justice was found for him. He was to young for that and to leave the world that way. But I keep his mom siblings and the rest of his family in my prayers..

No. This isn’t the young man that walked around Flomaton and Century all the time in robes and such. My son and I know him. I hope they find out what happened to this young man. This is just unreal! You don’t think it will happen around here.

It’s sad what this world is coming to. It’s always heartbreaking when a child dies, but there’s no reason to get angry enough to kill someone’s baby. I don’t know who it was or why it even happened, but this family is in my prayers.
Please get justice!! This young man was known by many and adored by most! For this to happen is so sad! I knew this young man personally and so did my kids! It’s heart breaking to realize that he was at my house Monday evening. My love and prayers are going out to his family!!! I hope and pray the crul person that did this gets what they deserve!
