Frontier Experiences Phone Outage

February 26, 2009

Frontier Communications briefly lost telephone service in North Escambia and South Alabama Thursday afternoon.

Frontier Local Manager Cereal Daniel said Frontier customers in Walnut Hill, Bratt, Molino, Atmore and surrounding areas lost the ability to make some calls due a problem outside Frontier’s control.

A telephone network processor located outside of Frontier’s telephone network and operated by another company malfunction, causing the problem.

Daniel said all local phone service has been restored.
