Northview Run Rules Defending State Champion Holmes County

The Northview Chiefs run-ruled the defending Rural Class state champion Holmes County Blue Devils 14-1 Thursday night, in Bratt.

Jack Boutwell earned the win on the mound for the Chiefs, giving up one hit in four no-run innings, walking four and striking out six. Gauge Harrison pitched one inning in relief, giving up one hit and one unearned run while striking out one and walking one.

Taylor Curtis went 3-for-4 at bat for the Chiefs. Jackson Bridges, Cole Davis, Jase Portwood and Grayden Sheffield added two hits each.

The Chiefs will head to Destin on Friday night to take on the Sharks.

Wahoos Stadium Win: Tate Beats Fort Walton

The Tate Aggies beat the Fort Walton Beach Vikings 4-1 on Thursday night at Blue Wahoos Stadium.

Lance Brady was on the mound for the Aggies, surrendering three hits and one unearned run in seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Connors had two RBIs for the Aggies as he went 2-3 for the night. Kaden Posta and Cal Foxworth also added two hits each.

Friday night, the Aggies will return to Blue Wahoos Stadium to take on the Escambia Gators at 7 p.m. Tickets, which are $12.25, will be available for purchase at the stadium or online from MLB. Parking is free, and one food and beverage storefront will be open for concessions.

Road Trips: Northview Chiefs Beat Destin 18-2; Tate Falls To Niceville By One

The Northview Chiefs hit the road and bit the Destin Sharks 18-2 on Thursday night.

Kylie Langham went 3-5 for the Chiefs, including a solo center field home run in the fourth, a single in the sixth, and a double in the seventh.

Peyton Womack went 4-6 at the plate for Northview; Riley Brooks, Davonia Randolph, and Avery Stuckey each added multiple hits.

Mikayla McAnally opened in the circle for the Chiefs, giving up one hit and no runs in three innings while striking out four and walking none. Randolph threw one inning of no-run ball, and Womack pitched three, surrendering two hits and two runs, striking out none and walking one.

Next up, the Lady Chiefs will host Orange Beach at 6 p.m. Friday.

Niceville 3, Tate 2

The Tate Lady Aggies dropped a Thursday loss 3-2 on the road at Niceville.

Mitchell was 1-3 with two RBIs for the Lady Aggies. Morris, Mitchell, Robinson, and Smillie each added one hit for THS.

Padgett went one inning for Tate, giving up three runs (two earned) on two hits while walking two and striking out one. Pitching five innings of no-run ball in relief, Mitchell allowed three hits, walking two and striking out eight.

The Lady Aggies will return home to Cantonment against Gulf Breeze next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Tate Aggies Lacrosse Beats Washington 12-7

Tate High School Girls Lacrosse earned a bit 12-7 win at the Washington Wildcats on Thursday night.

The Aggies were coming off losses earlier in the week to West Florida and Gulf Breeze.

Next Week, Tate will travel to West Florida on Monday, and Pensacola Catholic on Tuesday.

Tate JV Aggies Shut Out Escambia; Tate Freshmen Top WFHS

After scoring 11 runs in the first inning, the Tate JV Aggies shut out the Escambia Gators 16-0 Wednesday at Escambia.

Tanner Clark opened on the mound for the Aggies, giving up no runs and no hits, striking out one and walking none.

Seifert led the Aggies with three RBIs, going 2-3 on the day. Mason Williams, Mason Bryant, Trent Godwin, Carter Petero, Caileb Javier, Hunter Taylor, Kash Brown, and Bryson Adams each added one hit.

Tate 4, West Florida 1 (Freshmen)

The Tate freshmen defeated West Florida 4-1 on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at West Florida.

Grayson McLellan earned the win for the Aggies, surrendering three hits and one run in five innings while striking out six and walking three.

Trent Madden, Carter Stewart, AJ Williams, and Frederick Woods III each had one hit for Tate.

Jay Lady Royals Advance To Rural State Championship Game

The Jay Lady Royals are headed to the FHSAA Rural Class girls state championship.

On Tuesday, the Lady Royals beat Hilliard  53-39.

Jay will face Williston on Friday at 6 p.m. EST at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

Tate Aggies Cheerleader Lillian Abner Signs With Morehead State

On Tuesday, Tate High School cheerleader Lillian Abner signed to continue her academic and athletic career in cheerleading at Morehead State University

“Lilly Abner is an elite talent when it comes to cheerleading, and she is one of the top recruits in her position this year. Lilly possesses the extreme discipline and tenacious work ethic necessary to be successful in the winningest collegiate cheer in the world, and I am confident that she will make an immediate impact on our MSU All-Girl team,” Morehead State University head coach Mark Coleman said. “I’m excited to see Lilly’s journey over the next four years, and Morehead State University Cheer couldn’t be happier that she is joining our Doan Dynasty Family!”

One Big Inning Lifts Pace Past Northview in Battle of State Runners-Up (With Gallery)

One inning on a cold Tuesday night made all the difference between two of the state’s top softball teams in Bratt.

In the battle between two state runners-up from last year, the 6A Pace Lady Patriots defeated Rural Division runner-up Northview Lady Chiefs 4-0.

The game sat scoreless until the top of the fifth inning when the Patriots’ Gracie Ueberroth knocked a two-run home run over the center field fence, and Haley Olivet singled to score two more runs.

Mikayla McAnally pitched a complete game for the Lady Chiefs, allowing five hits and four runs (two earned) while walking two and striking out seven.

McAnally, Avery Stuckey, and Bailey Burkette each had one hit for Northview.

Pace 6, Northview 3 (JV)

Brooklyn Allen was in the circle for four innings, allowing six hits and six runs (one earned), while walking two and striking out one.

Kinley White and Katie Jones each had one hit for the JV Chiefs. White and Natalia Morales each had one RBI.

Northview Beats Chipley; Tate Falls To Gulf Breeze

The Northview Chiefs beat the Chipley Tigers 17-3 Tuesday night in Chipley.

Jase Portwood went 3-3 to drive in six runs on three hits to lead the Chiefs with a two-run double in the first and fifth innings, along with a two-run single in the sixth.

Jackson Bridges, Bryant Mason, and Grayden Sheffield each scored two runs for the Chiefs.

Gayson Burns earned the win on the mound for Northview, surrendering two hits and three runs (two earned) while walking three and striking out nine in five and one-third innings. Mason threw two-thirds of an inning, allowing one hit and no runs, striking out two.

Northview will host Holmes County on Thursday before traveling to Destin on Friday.

Gulf Breeze 3, Tate 0

The Tate Aggies fell to Gulf Breeze 3-0 on Tuesday night in Gulf Breeze.

Beasley took the loss for the Aggies. He went three and one-third innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking four. In two and two-thirds innings, Hunter Clayton allowed one hit and no runs, striking out two and walking none.

Nathan Connors, Cade McNair, Cooper Halfacre, and Cal Foxworth each contributed one Tate hit.

The Aggies will take on Fort Walton on Thursday and Escambia on Friday at Wahoos Stadium.

Tate Aggies Shut Out Choctaw 15-0: Mitchell Drives In Five; Padgett Throws No-Hitter

The Tate Lady Aggies shut out the Choctawhatchee Indians 15-0 on Monday night.

Kayla Mitchell collected five RBIs on three hits in Fort Walton Beach on Monday. Mitchell accounted for three with a home run to center field in the third inning and added two runs on a double in the second.

Madison Smillie also had three hits for Tate, while Jordyn Banks and Brelynn Morris added two hits each.

Mykamia Padgett pitched a four-inning no-hitter, allowing no runs, walking two and striking out 10.

Next up, the Lady Aggies will travel to Niceville on Thursday.

Tate 14, Choctaw 5 (JV)

In JV action, the Lady Aggies beat Choctaw 14-5.

In the circle, Faith Middleton earned the win for Tate, allowing four hits and three runs (two earned) in two innings, walking one and striking out five. In relief, Khloe Gibson pitched one inning, giving up two runs (none earned) while walking two and striking out one.

Middleton and Mikela Foster had two hits each for THS.
