Escambia County (AL) Now Reporting 10 COVID-19 Cases

Ten COVID-19 cases have now been confirmed in Escambia County, Alabama, according to the latest data release Monday from the Alabama Department of Health, up from three cases late last week.

ADH is reporting 175 total COVID-19 tests have been performed in Escambia County.

The Alabama Department of Health reported 3,803 total cases in the state.

Long-Term Care COVID-19 Cases Up To 39 In Escambia County; Total Cases Up By 17 Monday

The number of COVID-19 cases in Escambia County long-term care facility residents or staff increased by 10 on Monday to a total of 39, while the number of cases across the county were up by 17, according to the evening report from the Florida Department of Health.

There are now 241 total COVID cases in Escambia County and 113 in Santa Rosa County.. Escambia County has recorded three deaths; Santa Rosa has had four fatalities, including one reported Sunday.

Statewide, there were 21,019 cases including 20,394 Florida residents. There have been 2,841 hospitalizations and 499 deaths.

Donations Accepted Monday For Tuesday Food Distribution At Carver Park In Cantonment

For the fifth week, the Cantonment Improvement Committee will provide free meals to kids in their community on Tuesday.

Donations can be dropped off at 3 p.m. on Monday at Carver Park.

Meals will be distributed grab-and-go style on Tuesday, April 14 at 3 p.m. at Carver Park, 208 Webb Street in Cantonment. To receive food, remain in your vehicle, line up facing north on Webb Street and the food will be delivered to your vehicle. Children must be present.

Last week, meals were distributed to 252 young people

Fourth COVID-19 Death Reported In Santa Rosa County; Two-County Cases Increase By 17 Sunday

The Florida Department of Health reported an 84-year old man became the fourth coronavirus death in Santa Rosa County on Sunday, as cases in Escambia and Santa Rosa increased by 17.

There are now 224 total COVID cases in Escambia County. The number of cases in Santa Rosa County increased Sunday to 109. Escambia County has recorded three deaths.

The number of coronavirus cases in residents or staff of long-term care facilities increase by one Sunday in Escambia County to 29.

Statewide, there were 19,895 cases including 19,337 Florida residents. There have been 2,6672 hospitalizations and 461 deaths.

Confidence continues to increase regarding the likelihood of a severe weather outbreak Easter Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Mobile.

The entire North Escambia area has an enhanced (level 3 of 5) risk of severe weather. The greatest threats are possible strong long-track tornadoes, damaging winds of 70 mph and quarter size or larger hail.

Escambia COVID-19 Cases Top 200; Third Death Reported In Santa Rosa

The number of COVID-19 cases in Escambia County topped 200 Friday afternoon, and a third death was reported in Santa Rosa County.

FDOH reported 204 total COVID cases in Escambia County. Of those, 186 are local residents. The number of cases in Santa Rosa County increased  to 105. Escambia County has had three fatalities, and a Santa Rosa County is now up to three deaths. A 69-year old male died; he had previous with known case but no travel history

The number of coronavirus cases in residents or staff of long-term care facilities increased to 26 in Escambia County.

Statewide, there were 17,968 cases including 17,448 Florida residents. There have been 2,496 hospitalizations and 419 deaths.

The number of COVID-19 cases increased by 11 in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties in the Friday morning report from the Florida Department of Health.

FDOH reported 197 total COVID cases in Escambia County. Of those, 181 are local residents. The number of cases in Santa Rosa County increased  to 103. Escambia County has had three fatalities, Santa Rosa two.

The number of coronavirus cases in residents or staff of long-term care facilities increased to 22 in Escambia County. For the first time Thursday, Santa Rosa County reported an infection in a resident or staff of a long-term care facility.

Statewide, there were 17,531 cases including 17,018 Florida residents. There have been 2,360 hospitalizations and 390 deaths.
