One Dead In Double Shooting At Century Park

One person was killed and another injured in a double shooting Thursday evening at a Century park.

About 6:30 p.m., the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received a shots-fired call at Showalter Park, off Hecker Road. They arrived to find an adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second victim later arrived at Jay Hospital, suffering from a through-and-through gunshot wound to the leg that was not believed to be life-threatening, according to Sgt. Melony Peterson.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene and have not yet been identified, according to the ECSO.

The investigation is continuing, and further details have not yet been released.

    Tasha you must know who did this being that you KNOW it’s gang members, and Kramer, don’t judge because trust you never want to be in those shoes of pain.

    Century was once a decent place. Let’s give a special thanks to the slap-on-the-wrist court system, Section 8, and the relocation of thugs to the north end of the county. Nonetheless, when these criminals are caught, they won’t go far and will be incarcerated right next door at the prison. And that’s another problem: prison towns keep bad company, if you know what I mean.
