I-10 Eastbound Lanes To Shift North At Highway 29 Next Week

Next week, travel lanes on I-10 eastbound will be shifted north near the Highway 29 interchange (Exit 10). This temporary traffic configuration is anticipated to remain in place through late 2026.
Additionally, intermittent inside lane closures may occur on I-10 eastbound, between mile markers 8 and 11, Monday, August. 10 through Thursday, August. 13, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction activities.
This work is part of a $236 million construction project designed to improve safety and capacity for the 62,000 drivers who travel the I-10 at U.S. 29 interchange daily. The project is scheduled for completion in 2030.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.

I hope this becomes a diverging diamond. I wonder if the 10 and Davis interchange and the 110 and Brent interchange could become diverging diamonds
You know, you always read about road work in Escambia county, great, let me tell you something, ain’t been no road work, bridges work in East Santa Rosa County and the City of Milton in 50 years, more taxes being collected in this area than ever before, yet, NOTHING, Every time you drive from Burger King on Stewart St. to Ward Basin Road, a couple of miles, it takes at times 45 minutes, and you have to replace the shocks on your vehicle feels like driving down the side of the Grand Canyon, so, Escambia folks, be patient, they are getting it done, Santa Rosa County and the City of Milton, NOTHING.
