Woman, 72, Gets Life In Prison For Shooting Neighbor Six Times

November 11, 2022

A 72-year old Escambia County woman has been sentenced to life in prison for attempted second degree murder.

Yagaunda Grace Buschbaum shot her neighbor six times at Myrtle Grove Villas on Lillian Highway. He survived critical injuries.

Three days before the shooting, Buschbaum made a false complaint of burglary against the victim, resulting in a warrant for his arrest. On the night of the shooting, she called law enforcement to come serve the warrant. Before law enforcement arrived, Buschbaum lured the victim closer to the back door of her apartment under the pretense of giving him a gift, then shot him six times and claimed he was trying to break into her apartment.

“Buschbaum had developed romantic feelings for him and he believes wanted a relationship with him, but he had zero interest,” according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report. She allegedly tried to kiss him, but he was forced to physically stop her.

In Florida, a Life sentence is a term of imprisonment for the rest of one’s natural life. Because Buschbaum was charged under Florida’s 10-20-Life law, the first 25 yearof Buschbaum’s sentence will also be served as a mandatory minimum term sentence.

Bratt Woman Charged With Exposing Herself To Traffic And A Juvenile, Battery On A Deputy, Resisting Arrest

November 10, 2022

A Bratt woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly exposing her privates to passing traffic and a juvenile, and then struggling with deputies.

Keisha Lashaie Boles, 37, was charged with indecent exposure of sexual organs, lewd or lascivious conduct by a person 18 or older involving a juvenile, disorderly conduct, burglary of an unoccupied structure, battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence. She remained in the Escambia County Jail Thursday morning with bond set at $33,000.

Boles was allegedly walking around outside exposing herself to traffic on West Highway 4 near North Highway 99. A resident captured a video and photos that showed Boles wearing a red bra along with some type of pink plaid clothing that “temporarily covered her lower half” before she lifted the clothing up and exposed her genitals, according to an arrest report.

One of the witnesses to the incident was a juvenile, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Boles “instantly became argumentative and verbally aggressive” toward a deputy that attempted to speak with her. “Upon asking her to walk outside to speak with me, she advised that I did not have a warrant and slammed the door in my face and locked it,” the deputy wrote in the report.

The following day, the ECSO responded back to the area where Boles was allegedly walking around her neighbor’s yard. The neighbor received a notice on his phone from his security cameras, went outside, drew his firearm on Boles, and informed her to get on the ground until police arrived.

Boles did not comply, insisted that she was pregnant and ran back to her residence, the report continues.

After several attempts to get Boles to answer her door, she finally agreed to step outside. She told deputies that she went to her neighbor’s yard to use the bathroom in his shed. She was then arrested.

As she was being transported, she began to struggle in an attempt to loosen her handcuffs. The deputy pulled into the Northview High School parking lot and attempted to adjust her handcuffs. She began to push her legs into the deputy and refused all of his commands. She pushed to the point that the deputy’s body camera and flashlight fell to the ground

“Boles began to attempt to escape from my backseat, therefore, she was escorted to the ground,” the deputy wrote. The deputy stated that Boles continued to scream that she was pregnant and was paralyzed in her legs as she kicked the deputy several times with each foot.

Boles was transported to an area hospital. The ECSO said it was determined that she was not injured and not pregnant. On the way out of the hospital, Boles began to resist deputies again, kicking chairs and laptop desks.

“Hospital staff along with several deputies had to assist to get her inside of my patrol vehicle,” the deputy wrote.

Suspect In October Murder Now In Escambia County Jail

November 10, 2022

The alleged gunman in an October 29 murder in Escambia County has been extradited and was booked into the Escambia County Jail without bond Wednesday night.

Jacob Monroe Colville, 29, was wanted for first degree premeditated murder. He was captured with a gun, ammunition, cash, drugs and makeup in the Orlando area. Mugshots pictured above show Colville without makeup (left) when he was booked into the Escambia County Jail Wednesday night and with makeup in Lake County (right).

An officer with the Eustis Police Department initiated a traffic stop. During the stop, a sergeant observed the front seat passenger, later identified Colville, appear to remove something from his front waistband area and place it on the seat, according to police.

Eustis Police officers reported finding a .40 caliber Ruger semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine on the passenger seat, along with 48.6 grams of methamphetamine, smoking devices, $2,300 in cash, and “several items related to the sale of narcotics” in Colville’s backpack.

“In the same backpack, items to disguise his identity were located such as a wig attached to a ballcap, glasses, and makeup. Colville also had makeup on, in an attempt to conceal some of his tattoos,” Eustis Police said.

In addition to the murder warrant, he was charged in Lake County Florida with armed trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of firearm by convicted felon, carrying concealed firearm, improper exhibition of dangerous firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Alyssa Marie Blackburn, 22, and Lawrence Bonner, Jr., 44, were both previously charged with principal to first-degree premeditated murder.

The victim was identified by family members as 22-year old Jesse Allen Geoghahan.

On October 29, the ECSO responded to the 1000 block of Medford Avenue where they found Geoghahan. with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Blackburn contacted the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office to report that he had been shot inside the residence.

Bonner allegedly gave Colville the gun used in the murder. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Colville shot Geoghagan twice inside a closet, before shooting him a “few more times” as he limped out of the bedroom.

They fled in a stolen 1996 Toyota Avalon, which was later found burning under the Mobile Highway Bridge over Eleven Mile Creek.

A security system in the residence captured the murder, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
