Missing Senior Citizen Found Near Century

An elderly Beulah woman missing for a week was found Saturday afternoon near Century.

Shirley Cooey, 83, had been missing since last Saturday night from the 8700 block of Rebel Road.

Family members said she was severely dehydrated, both otherwise in good condition.  She was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

    My Mother-in-law couldn’t have been found without many prayers and the relentless efforts of many people and organizations. I wish I could individually thank each and everyone of you personally but please know that we are eternally grateful. To the Klass Foundation, Escambia Search & Rescue, Beulah Volunteer Fire Dept., Civil Air Patrol and Beulah community thank you for going above and beyond. For those of you that searched, handed out flyers, brought us food, made phone calls, prayed, or just sent us a text or email that you were thinking of the family, you played an important role in the outcome of this situation. My prayer is that each and everyone of you is blessed just as you have blessed the Cooey family this past week.

    This is amazing! I’m so happy for this family. It’s great seeing a happy ending to a scary situation. Thank you God for keeping your watchful eye and hand on this woman.

    God answer prayers seen her son today, He use to be the principal at Libscom Elementary for my granddaughters they sure loved this man. Will still be praying for a fast recovery
