Wine Homers And Tate Lady Aggies Get District Win Over Crestview

April 1, 2025

The Tate Lady Aggies defeated the Crestview Bulldogs 9-8 Monday night in Crestview in a big district win.

Kara Wine had four RBIs on four hits –including a two-run homer to left field in the third inning. Kaylie Mitchell went 2-4 at the plate for the Aggies.

Peyton Womack earned the win for Tate, giving up 10 hits and eight runs (five earned) in six and two-thirds innings while walking seven and striking out six. Jordan Smith earned the save in one-third of an inning, striking out one and allowing no hits, nor runs and no walks.

Up next, Tate will host Niceville on Thursday. On Friday, it’s the annual Strike Out Cancer game at Tate against West Florida.

Stick It To Cancer: Tate Lacrosse Raises Over $1,000

March 31, 2025

Last week’s Tate Aggies Lacrosse “Stick it to Cancer” games raided over $1,000 for the American Cancer Society.

All proceeds — including ticket sales and concessions — were donated, and four gift baskets were auctioned off to benefit the fight against cancer.

The West Florida Jaguars girls lacrosse team defeated the Tate Aggies 7-6 during the game.

Northview Men’s Weightlifting Team Places At Districts

The Northview High School men’s weightlifting team for placing 5th overall in district competition.

Jay Slides Past Northview 5-3 (With Photo Gallery)

March 29, 2025

The Northview Chiefs fell 5-3 Friday night in Bratt.

Jax Lowery pitched a complete game win for the Royals, surrendered seven hits and five runs over seven innings, walking two and recording three strikeouts. Jase Portwood went a complete game for Northview, giving up 10 hits and three runs (one earned), walking one and striking out eight.

Brady Godwin led Jay at the plate with three RBIs, going 2-3 for the night, while Clay Norris had two hits.

Braynt Mason led at bat for Northview with two RBIs, and Brady Smith went 2-4.

Up next, Northview will be at West Florida on Tuesday, and Jay will host T.R. Miller on Monday.

In JV action Friday, Northview played to a 4-4 tie after seven innings.

Kara Wine Homers As Tate Slips To Milton

March 29, 2025

The Tate Lady Aggies fell short 4-3 Friday night against the Milton Panthers in Milton.

Senior Kara Wine hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fifth. On the night, Wine led Tate with two RBIs as she went 2-3. Kaylie Mitchell, Madison Smilie, and Jordan Smith added one hit each.

Jordan Smith took the loss for the Aggies in six innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits, walking two and striking out five.

Next Week, Tate will travel to Crestview on Monday, before hosting Niceville on Thursday and West Florida in the Strike Out Cancer game on Friday at 7:00.

Stick It To Cancer: WFHS Lacrosse Gets Past Tate 7-6 (With Gallery)

The West Florida Jaguars girls lacrosse team defeated the Tate Aggies 7-6 Thursday night in a “Stick it to Cancer Game” in Tate’s Pete Gindl Stadium.

All proceeds — including ticket sales and concessions — will be donated to the American Cancer Society. There were also four gift baskets auctioned off to benefit the fight against cancer.

Senior Night Win: Tate Surges Past Central 8-1 (With Gallery)

March 28, 2025

Thursday night at home, Tate surged with a seven-run fifth inning to beat the Central Jaguars 8-1 on Senior Night for the Aggies.

Senior Zane Warrington earned the win for Tate, giving up three hits and one run in a complete game seven innings, walking three and striking out eight.

Hunter Clayton led the Aggies at the plate, with two RBIs as he went 1-3. Kaleb Posta went 2-4, while Connor Dethlefs and Nathan Ozuna both added a hit.
