Cantonment 10,000 Pound Food Distribution Set For Today

The Cantonment Improvement Committee will host a food distribution today, providing 10,000 pounds of food to local residents in need. The giveaway will being at 3 p.m. 3:00 at Carver Park, located at 208 Webb Street in Cantonment.

Attendees should like up facing north on Webb Street.

To receive food, individuals must present a valid identification. The distribution will operate on a first come, first served basis as supplies last.  One bag or box of food will be provided per identification presented, with a maximum of three IDs allowed per vehicle.

Northview Softball’s State Final Four Game Is Today; Here’s How To Watch Live

Today, the Northview Lady Chiefs will open play in the Rural FHSAA Softball Final Four near Orlando.

No. 2 Northview (21-6) will take on No. 3 Branford (21-6).

First pitch Tuesday is at noon EDT (11 a.m. in North Escambia)  at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood, just outside Orlando. Fans can watch live video on the NFHS Network for a $13.99 monthly pass (which can be canceled at any time). Line The Roads For Northview Lady Chiefs State Championship Send-off Sunday Morning

The Northview Lady Chiefs are headed to the state softball tournament for the first time in school history, and fans are encouraged to line the roadways for a big send-off on Sunday morning.

The team will depart Northview High School at 7 a.m. on their way to the final four in Longwood, on the northeast side of the Orlando metro.The team bus will travel east on Highway 4 to Highway 29 in Century. They will then stop at Whataburger in Century for breakfast.

Tri-City Children’s Choir To Present Spring Concert Friday Evening

The Tri-City Children’s Choir will present their annual Spring Concert Friday evening.

The choir, under the direction of Holley Driver, is an outreach program of the Pensacola Children’s Choir.
