Tate Aggies Win District Semi, Head To Finals Saturday Night

The Tate Aggies beat the Gulf Breeze Dolphins 66-54 Thursday night in the 6A District 1 semifinals at Tate High School.

Also on Thursday night, the Milton Panthers defeated the Niceville Eagles 68-42.

The No. 2 seed Aggies will travel to No. 1 Milton on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the district championship.

Tate Aggies Beat Pace In District Quarterfinal; Northview Chiefs Fall To Central

February 4, 2026

District quarterfinal action Tuesday night was the end of the road for the Northview Chiefs, while the Tate Aggies are battling forward.

In 6A District 1, the No. 2 Tate Aggies beat the No. 7 Pace Patriots 62-42 Tuesday night at Tate. Up next, the Tate Aggies will host No. 6 seed Gulf Breeze in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Thursday in Tate’s Fryman Gym.

In Rural Class District 1 quarterfinals, the Central Jaguars beat Northview 72-35 at Central, ending the season for the Chiefs.

Anderson Leads Tate Boys Tennis To Season-Opening Win Over Choctaw

February 4, 2026

The Tate High School boys tennis team opened the season with a 4-3 district win over Choctawhatchee in Fort Walton Beach.

Newcomer Noah Anderson, a junior, led the way with singles and doubles wins.

Up next, Aggies tennis will travel to face the West Florida Jaguars on Thursday.

Here are Tuesday night preseason high school baseball scores:

Fort Walton Beach 8, Northview 4


The Fort Walton Beach Vikings defeated the Northview Chiefs 8–4 in Crestview.

Jack Boutwell opened on the mound for the Chiefs, giving up five hits and six runs (two earned) in one and two-thirds innings while striking out one and walking three.

Jackson Bridges, Taylor Curtis, Dane King, Jase Portwood, and Grayden Sheffield each had one hit for Northview. Grayson Burns and Sheffield each had an RBI for NHS.

West Florida 6, Tate 1

The West Florida Jaguars downed the Tate Aggies 6–1.

Bryton McLellan opened for Tate on the mound, giving up six hits and six runs (one earned) in two innings, striking out three while walking one. Logan Kimmons went three in relief, surrendering one hit and no runs as he struck out seven and walked one.

At the plate for the Aggies, Cal Foxworth went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice fly for an RBI. Nathan Connors, Griffin Cook, and Kaden Posta each added a hit for Tate.

On Thursday, the Tate Aggies will take on the Catholic Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. at West Florida.

Postseason Ends For Tate And Northview Girls Basketball

February 3, 2026

Postseason hopes came to an end on Monday night for both the Tate and Northview girls basketball teams with district tournament losses.

In 6A District 1, No. 2 Niceville defeated the No. 7 Tate Lady Aggies 74-14. Up next, No. 1 Navarre will play No. 4 Crestview, and Niceville will take on No. 3 Milton.

In Rural Class District 1, No. 3 Laurel Hill beat No. 6 Northview 78-15 in Bratt. On Wednesday, No. 1 Jay will take on No. 5 Baker, and Laurel Hill advances to play No. 2 Paxton.

Ice Flyers Bounce Back To Beat Marksmen (With Gallery)

February 1, 2026


The Ice Flyers bounced back in spectacular fashion on Saturday night, defeating the Fayetteville Marksmen 4-3 in front of a roaring crowd of 7,090 at the Hangar for Mardi Gras Night.

The Marksmen struck first when former Ice Flyer Sam Dabrowski opened the scoring. Captain Ethan Price responded midway through the first period, tying the game 1-1 heading into the first intermission. Marcus Fechko gave Fayetteville the lead with the lone goal of the second period, putting the Ice Flyers in a 2-1 hole entering the final frame.

The third period belonged to Pensacola. Mike Moran, Zack Bross, and Tim Faulkner each found the back of the net, propelling the Ice Flyers to a 4-2 lead. Trey Fechko brought the Marksmen within one at 4-3, but the Ice Flyers held strong to secure the victory and avenge Friday night’s loss.

The Ice Flyers return to action next week for Adult Jersey Giveaway Night.

Northview Baseball: Gold Beats The Garnet (With Gallery)

January 31, 2026

The Gold team beat the Garnet 10-3 on a cold Friday night during a Northview Chiefs intrasquad baseball game in Bratt.

The game gave the Chiefs a chance to sharpen their skills before preseason play begins next week.

80’s Night: Ice Flyers Fall 8-6 To Fayetteville

January 31, 2026

The Ice Flyers hosted the Fayetteville Marksmen on Friday night for 80’s Night, but despite a thrilling comeback attempt, fell short in a high-scoring affair, losing 8-6 to the visiting Marksmen.

The game got off to a fiery start with former Ice Flyer Sam Dabrowski and Samson Mouland dropping the gloves, energizing the crowd at the Hangar. Fayetteville wasted no time getting on the board, with Trey Fechko scoring early. Marcus Fechko extended the Marksmen’s lead to 2-0 at the 9-minute mark. Tyler Burnie cut the deficit to one for the Ice Flyers, but Marcus Fechko notched his second of the night, giving Fayetteville a 3-1 lead heading into the first intermission.

The Ice Flyers came out firing in the second period, with Captain Ethan Price scoring just seconds in. Ryan Leith answered back for Fayetteville, but the remainder of the frame belonged to Pensacola. Sam Rhodes tallied two goals, Tyrone Bronte found the back of the net, and Captain Price closed out the period with his second of the night, giving the Ice Flyers a 6-4 lead heading into the final frame.

Despite their comeback, the Marksmen seized control in the third period. Matt Wiesner scored twice, while Shane Murphy and Sam Dabrowski each added goals, propelling Fayetteville to an 8-6 victory.

The Ice Flyers are back in action Saturday night for Mardi Gras Night.
