The Millie Mobile Market is scheduled to be in Molino on Wednesday with a variety of fresh produce.

Millie will be at the Molino Community Center (Molino Library) at 6450 North Highway 95A from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 272. Future visits are planned for April 29, May 6, and May 20.

During the Molino visits, Millie will offer a menu of fresh produce at discounted prices (see list below).

Millie travels routes throughout Feeding the Gulf Coast’s Florida service area, addressing pockets of low food access (food deserts) where supermarkets are scarce, to provide community members the opportunity to buy affordable fresh produce and other nutritious foods at a significantly discounted rate. Feeding the Gulf Coast collaborates with local farmers to purchase produce when available specifically for the Millie Mobile Market.

Only debit or credit cards (including tap-to-pay) are accepted at Millie; no cash.

Town of Century: Pay Past Due Utility Bills Must Be Paid By Today To Avoid Disconnection

The Town of Century is warning utility customers that utility bills must be paid by today, Friday April 24 to avoid disconnection.

Utility bills have previously been mailed to customers late, but the town says bills have now been mailed to customers on time.

Accounts are subject to disconnection as of April 25.

A Few Areas Receive Wednesday Rain; Sunny And Warm Thursday Before Rain Chances Return

A small portion of the North Escambia area received some much-needed rain on Wednesday afternoon. Isolated showers brought up to about three-tenths of an inch of rain in area from Bratt to McDavid (pictured above), according to radar estimates.

The North Escambia area is looking at a warm and increasingly active weather pattern as we head into the weekend. While Thursday offers plenty of sunshine and highs in the low 80s, humidity and rain chances begin to climb by Friday afternoon. The most significant weather arrives Saturday, with a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon hours. Conditions remain warm throughout the outlook, with daytime highs peaking near 87 degrees by early next week.
