Bobby J. Tedder, Sr.

Bobby J. Tedder, Sr., a beloved Father, Grandfather, and Brother passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 at the age of 81 surrounded by people who loved him.
Bobby was born in Century, Fl on May 2, 1943. He graduated from Century High School in 1961. He signed his papers for the Air Force before he could be drafted for the Army. Growing up near Pensacola, FL, he loved watching the Blue Angels. During his 4 years in the US. Air Force, he learned how to work on aircrafts while stationed in Germany, Turkey and eventually Laredo, Tx, where he met Sally. They were married for 58 years, until her death last year.
Bobby attended San Jacinto College and earned a degree in Electrical Technology. The story goes that he took 6 years to get his 2-year degree. He stressed the importance of education to his kids and grandkids. He knew its value since he worked so hard to get his while having a job and a family.
He spent many years working for NASA/Northrop-Grumman at Ellington Airforce Base. While working for NASA, he worked on maintaining the T38 jets, which the US Astronauts used to log flight hours. On one occasion, an Astronaut flew Bobby to Cape Canaveral to repair one of their jets. After he left NASA, he was employed at HL&P – South Texas Nuclear project, during its construction. After the power plant went online, he worked as a QA/QC manager for a number of years. Later in his career, he worked for Wyman Gorman where he retired.
As you may imagine, Bobby was very technically and mechanically savvy. He was the first dad that we knew of that embraced technology. He had a home computer in the 80’s – everything ran on big floppy disks. He was teaching his daughter DOS before she knew what it was called. He was the only 70+ yr old who understood the basics of how PC’s worked and passed that love of technology on to his daughter. He was the family mechanic as well. He could change the oil, the brakes….any of the family’s car issues, because that’s what he did.
Bobby loved being in the outdoors… Camping, hunting and fishing was something his kids grew up experiencing. Countless summer camping trips with family and friends. Many of them were to New Braunfels, where we would float down the river and sit around the camp fire. One Summer vacation, he towed an RV down to Key West. Stopping at camp sites along the way. Fishing trips whenever possible or hunting trips whenever the opportunity came up. Simply put, he loved the outdoors.
Bobby loved to smoke some BBQ. A love he shared with his sons. Bobby and Sally had so many parties in their home. Any excuse to celebrate, Bobby was cooking on the pit while Sally was cooking in the kitchen. They loved to feed family and friends.
Dad loved his lake house, after all, it was his retirement dream. He loved sitting on the back deck looking out at the water. He could spend all day just watching the boats going by and planning his next fishing trip. No doubt, this was his Happy place.
Bobby and Sally were married for 58 years. We know Sally met Bobby on his final journey. They are surely two stepping all over heaven. Preceded in death by: his wife, Araceli (Sally) Tedder, his father, Elmer Tedder, and his mother, Lucille Carnley Tedder.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Bobby J. Tedder, Jr [Amy Tedder], Denise L. Sanders [Timothy Sanders], Brian J. Tedder. Grandchildren: Shelby, Blaise, Tyler, Brian Jr., Gaby, Payton, Zachary, Nick, Krista. Brothers: Ralph Tedder, Rex Tedder and Ronnie Tedder. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. We’ve got it from here. Rest in peace.

Vivian Lynn Dudak, 60, of Pensacola, Florida passed away June 1, 2024. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 14th, 1964 to Theodore H. Nipple. Vivian worked in the Aerospace Industry for Marianna Air Motive. She had a passion for Saints football and her family and pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Kathy Nipple, mother, Bonnie Nipple.
She is survived by her spouse, Thomas Dudak, Sr.; daughters, Teddi Elizabeth Dudak and Lisa Paul; son, Thomas Dudak Jr.; brothers, William G. (Cynde) Nipple, Bruce (Lorrie) Nipple, Kenny (Beverly) Nipple, Robert (Cyndi) Stemcosky, and Kevin (Celia) Stemcocky; sister, Judi Williams; seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many more family members.
Funeral service will be at 12:00PM Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 S. Highway 29, Cantonment, Florida 32534. Visitation will be prior to service at 11:00AM.

Evelyn Jurjens

Evelyn Jurjens passed away Thursday morning, May 30, 2024 after a humble yet fulfilling 87 years of life. Evelyn was born in Canoe, Alabama to Ruth and Verlon Gee, and raised in Pensacola, Florida. Evelyn met her husband Raymond Lester Jurjens while he was stationed in Pensacola. Raymond was a US Navy service member. He and Evelyn had two sons, Stevon Jurjens and Stan Jurjens. Raymond carried out several tours of duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal, leaving Evelyn to raise and care for their sons for limited intervals. They were stationed for short periods of time on military bases in San Juan Puerto Rico and Norfolk, Virginia; with the last 20 years of service spent in Pensacola, Florida. Ray and Evelyn were devout Christians and enjoyed the company of friends and family. They would often take pleasure in inviting guest to their home for meals or to spend time to go out to eat. They also did an extensive amount of traveling and relished the chance to go camping and fishing. They were deeply proud of their family and instilled a passion for close family relations. Evelyn was an avid homemaker and took up several hobbies, such as sewing, embroidering, painting, cake decorating, bread baking, and bird watching.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband in 2013 after 54 years of marriage, and had the belief she would be reunited with him and her mother, Ruth Dennis, that she so dearly loved and missed.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Stevon and his wife, Renae Jurjens of Pachuta, Mississippi; and her son, Stan and his wife Julia Jurjens of Milton, Florida. Altogether she had nine grandkids, Shaun and Ray Jurjens, Rachel Danielle Cardenas, Kent Reeves, Kayla Boover, Morgan Grothe, Shanna Johnson, and Shane and Justin Jurjens; and fifteen great grandkids.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30PM on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 S. Highway 29, Cantonment, Florida 32533. The family will receive friends at 11:30PM prior to services. Burial will be in Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery at 140 W. Bogia Road, McDavid Florida.

Mrs. Joan Boutwell Warrick, age 80 of Old Pollard Road in Jay, Florida, passed away Monday afternoon June 3, 2024, at a local nursing facility. Mrs. Warrick was a native and longtime resident of Jay. She was a retired health services administrator with Alabama Ductile and was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Warrick of Jay, FL; sons, Randall Houston of Jay, FL, Wesley Houston of Brewton, and other family members, friends.
No formal services for Mrs. Joan Boutwell Warrick will be held.

Christie Lynn Herring, 51, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on May 28, 2024 in Pensacola, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Herring; uncles, V.J. Harigel, Richard Harigel and Freddy Harigel; aunt, Glenda Gulsby.
She is survived by her husband, Corey Whitaker; daughter, Miranda Whitaker; father, Bill (Jodi) Herring; brother, Jason Herring; grandmother, Melba Herring; uncles, Kenny Herring and Frank Herring; aunt, Joyce Miller; nephews, Trent Herring and Colt Herring; grandsons, Luca Whitaker and Riker Whitaker; cousin, Ronnie Beasley.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Olson, Justin Johnson, J.R. Lee, Trent Herring, Ricky Connors, Craig Kretschmer and Colt Herring. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Beasley, Bill Herring, Frank Herring and Kenny Herring.

Mr. Leonard Stanley, age 96, passed away, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Atmore, Alabama. He was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore, Alabama. He was a faithful member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.
Mr. Stanley proudly served in the United States Army, a very active member of the Atmore VFW and American Legion, doing many fish fries and many other activities throughout the years. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman, he also enjoyed square dancing as member of Escambia Squares, he also attended many dances with the VFW and American Legion. He was a very skilled carpenter, loved spending time with family especially when they could all go camping. Watching westerns and ballgames was also something he loved to do to pass the time. He greatly enjoyed spending time at his river camp and all the time he could spend on the water fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Watt and Ruby Bell Stanley; wife, Kathryn Watford Stanley; son, Ronald Stanley; great-granddaughter Anna Grace Faith Stanley; two brothers, Cecil Stanley and Aubrey Stanley; sister, Gertrude Childress.
Mr. Stanley is survived by his daughter Carolyn (Charlie) Woods of Atmore, Alabama; brother, Windom Stanley of Spanish Fort, Alabama; three grandchildren Sharlie Terry of Atmore, Alabama, Scotty (Toshia) Woods of Uriah, Alabama, Robbie (Jennifer) Stanley of Atmore, Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Robert Stanley, Colton Stanley and Ava Woods.
Funeral service will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. with Dr. Tommy Smith officiating.

Judy Ann Joyner Campbell

Judy Ann Joyner Campbell, 81, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on May 23, 2024. She was born in her grandparents’ home in Evergreen, Alabama on October 12,1942 to Leroy and Vermelle Joyner.
Judy was a graduate of Pensacola Technical High School. She was married to Jimmy Campbell for 23 years.
Judy helped her husband run his used car dealership and worked as a Title Clerk for Muldon Ford and Mitchell Motors. She also worked as a cashier for Wal-mart at the Ensley location. She was of the Baptist faith.
She enjoyed visiting the casinos in Biloxi, Mississippi and loved to play bingo at various local bingo halls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Vermelle Joyner, husband, Jimmy Campbell, in-laws, James and Winnie Campbell, sister-in-law Kay Joyner and various aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her brother, Ken Joyner, Pensacola, Florida, daughter, Sherri Gehrdes (Peter) of Cantonment, Florida, grandson, Jonathan Gehrdes of Minneapolis, Minnesota, granddaughter, Bethany Pendleton (Nathan) of Cannon AFB, New Mexico, nephews, Ken Joyner (LuAnn) and Randy Joyner of Pensacola, Florida and niece, Jennifer Foster of Pensacola, Florida.
Pallbearers will be Peter Gehrdes, Kenny Joyner, Randy Joyner, DeRand Black, Dan Black, and Bill Nodhturft.
Officiant will be Minette Nodhturft, a very dear friend of the family who was like a daughter to Judy.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Coral Bay at Pensacola and Vitas Healthcare for their wonderful support and care.
Family and friends will meet at the home of Sherri Gehrdes after the service for lunch.

William “Bill” White, Jr.

Mr. William “Bill” White, Jr, age 51, of Atmore, Alabama passed away on May 18, 2024. He was born November 29, 1972 and a lifelong resident of Atmore.
Mr. White loved spending time with his family and his dog “Harley”. He enjoyed getting out and socializing. He liked grilling , going hunting. and he also enjoyed “Alabama Football” and sitting back watching TV.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy White, one sister, Sabrina Godwin, and one niece, Kayla Godwin.
Mr. White, is survived by his mother, Louise White, of Atmore, AL; one sister, Melissa White, of Perdido, AL; one nephew, Justin White, of Atmore, AL; two nieces, Shyla O’Barr, of Perdido, AL; Camryn O’Barr, of Perdido, AL; one great niece, Elliana Allen, other relatives and friends.

Mallory “Buck” Walker Jr, 79, of Century Florida, passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2024.
Buck was born on December 30, 1944, to the late Mallory Walker Sr. and Johnnie Walker. He was a graduate of Pensacola High School and retired from the United States postal service. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Alice McClung.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Walker; sons, Jason (Laurel), Justin (Maureen), Jeremy Walker; daughter, Mallory Walker; stepchildren, Ashley (Mike) Carnley, and Levin Faulk; sister, Judy (Ed) Norton; brothers, Billy Walker, Scott (Cindy) Walker, and Mark (Linda) Walker; and 13 grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be on Friday May 31, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Home Cornerstone Chapel 4003 Highway 4 Jay, Florida 32565, with visitation from 1:00-2:00pm and service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow immediately at Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
