Paul Zane Lundy

Mr. Paul Zane Lundy, who was 78 years old, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida. He was originally from Semirah Springs, Alabama, but spent most of his life in Atmore, Alabama. Mr. Lundy was a member of the Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church and took great pride in being a part of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. His life touched many, and he will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.
He loved to play music, especially picking up his guitar and writing songs. Recording his music brought him joy, as did spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandbabies. He found happiness in riding horses, fishing, and going out on the boat. Always ready to help, he was the kind of person who would give to anyone in need. His passions and kindness painted a beautiful picture of a life filled with love and adventure.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Juanita Dees Lundy; son, Randall Reese Lundy; brother, Willie Gay Lundy; sister, Pug Hollinger.
Mr. Lundy is survived by his wife of eight years, Carolyn Lundy of Bay Minette, Alabama; sons, Dakota Lundy of Pensacola, Florida and Sean Lundy of Atmore, Alabama; daughters, Madison Lundy of Atmore, Alabama and Whitney Davis of Frisco City, Alabama; brothers, George and wife Libby Lundy of Semirah Springs, Alabama and Randall Lundy of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Chloe Lundy, Zayn Davis, Colby Johnson, Steven Combs, Cheyenne and husband Allen Weston, Brooklynn Lundy, Santanna Lundy, Bailey and husband Nolan Echols; great-grandchildren, Micah Combs, Hunter Allen, River Allen, Nicholas Lundy, Duke Echols, and Kimber Echols; numerous great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Clifton Buchanan officiating.
Burial will follow at Semirah Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 at Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Crook, Darrell Hollinger, Holley Lundy, Colby Johnson, Jimmy Myrick and Tyson Presley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny King and Canyon Moye.

Louise S. Bryan

Louise S. Bryan, born December 15, 1929, died peacefully at the Atmore Community Hospital on June 5, 2025. She is survived by two sons, retired LTC Gary D. Bryan (Connie) of Pensacola, FL; Chuck Bryan (Bonnie) of Fairhope, AL; four grandchildren: Charles L. Bryan Jr (Julie), Fairhope, AL; Layne Bryan Abee (Aaron), Bastrop, TX; COL Marcus W. Bryan (Tracie), Pensacola, FL and Sara M. Bryan, Las Vegas, NV; seven great grandchildren: SSgt Christopher Bryan of Panama City, FL, Hayley Bryan Mondeau (Christian) of Honolulu, HI, and Alyssa Bryan of Pensacola, FL, Jackson and Thompson Bryan, Fairhope, AL, and Conrad and Bella Abee, Bastrop, TX. She is also survived by one sister, Sharee Godwin of Spanish Fort, AL, where she is cared for by her daughter, Lynn Mills (Greg).
Louise was born in Salem, FL, and was a devoted military wife of 73 years to LTC Charles D. Bryan, and made a home for her family wherever they were stationed. She was a caring mother who loved her family. Louise was like a glass of sweet tea, every time you were around her, you always felt a little bit better, a little bit of a pick me up when you were tired, and gave you something sweet. And that is why her loved ones called her sweet Louise. She was a lifelong member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church, which was her true home no matter where she roamed. Louise loved tending the church nursery, which was her true joy. She was truly a fine lady that could rock her pearls, had a great sense of humor, and was a good sport. Just knowing her made you want to be a better person, a little more patience, and a little more kind. That made her the very definition of a lady.
Louise was preceded in death by LTC Charles D. Bryan (Husband), Don Strickland (Brother), Mary Lou Faircloth Wiggins (Sister), and Marilyn Strickland Ward (Sister).
Funeral arrangements are handled by Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore, AL. Visitation and the Funeral Service will be held at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church with interment at the Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Family viewing at 1:00-1:30 and general public from 1:30-2:30 with Funeral service beginning at 2:30. No gravesite ceremony.

Evelyn Kleinschmidt Cook

Evelyn Kleinschmidt Cook, age 71 of Beulah FL sadly passed away on May 20, 2025.
She was born Evelyn Elizabeth Martin on December 21,1953 in Pensacola, Florida. Growing up, her family always called her Lynn. Lynn was adopted as a young child, by her mother’s husband, Edgar Kleinschmidt. She was also fondly known as “Mimi” by her grandchildren.
Lynn spent her career with Escambia County. She began her career working with the School Board. Lynn then moved to the Escambia County Road Department, where she worked in various positions. She retired as Mosquito Control Supervisor in 2018.
Lynn grew up in Beulah. She attended Pensacola Christian Elementary School, Bellview Jr High School and graduated from J.M. Tate’s DCT program with administrative assistant skills in 1971. Lynn is a long-standing member of First Baptist Church of Beulah. Her early interests included horses, country music and sewing. She is a tribe member of The Lower Muscogee Creek Tribe, Creek Nation, Indian Territory, and is known as Little Fawn. She learned to bead and created lovely Indian Beading. She also enjoyed the beach and just riding and looking at the water.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Voncile Mayo Kleinschmidt; and her grandson, Lucas Edgar Wingard.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Hillery H. Cook Jr. (Butch); daughter, Tiffany Cook Hartley (Chad); father, Edgar Kleinschmidt; sister, Toni Jerkins (Johnny); grandson, David Wingard (Hailey); granddaughter, Londyn Shyanne Hartley; five great granddaughters, Aaliyah Jean, Adelynn Marie, Kinsleigh Brai, Berkleigh Mai, and Mckenna Layne; niece, Shellie Gruenwald (Stephen); nephew, Daryle Jerkins (Dannie); great nephews, Donnie Dixion and James Gruenwald; and a great niece, Hannah Jerkins.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Beulah located at 5805 Beulah Church Rd, Pensacola, FL 32526.

Larry Max Mills

Larry Max Mills, of Pensacola, Florida, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born in Noblesville, Indiana on July 29, 1940.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1958 and attended Indiana University. He left college to join the military, much to his mother’s chagrin. He was a dedicated hard worker and proud submarine veteran of the United States Navy. His strong work ethic and commitment to his country were instilled in him from a young age, and he passed those values on to his family. Larry not only served his country in the Navy, but he also served his community as a policeman and firefighter in his early years. He was a truck driver for 33 years and while he enjoyed the open road, he missed the time away from his family.
He was a member of the VFW and an All-American Post Commander in Orlando, Florida. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge. Larry married the love of his life “Ginny” in 1971, and they enjoyed a 54-year marriage. They blended their families when they got married and had one son together. Larry loved listening to music, playing golf, and watching NASCAR. He was very outgoing and enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with friends. He was an avid storyteller with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. One of his biggest joys was pulling pranks on people.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Katherine McGlacken (McClintock); father, Max Monroe Mills; brother, Chris McGlacken; and daughter, Michelle Boden.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Mills; daughters, Kim (Dan) Ruble and Annette Powell; sons, Gary Max Mills, Mark Mills, and Larry (Angie) Mills II; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jane Wohl. He lovingly leaves behind aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 1000 S. Highway 29 Cantonment, Florida 32533.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Mary Ellen Hawsey, age 70, of Flomaton, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025.
Mrs. Hawsey was born in Escambia, Florida to James and Ellen Scott. She has lived in Flomaton the past 10 years coming from Bluff Springs. Mrs. Hawsey was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed going to the river and riding the boat and sometimes even fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents – James and Ellen Scott Jr.; brothers – Buddy Scott and Dale Scott.
Mrs. Ellen Hawsey is survived by her son Jeremy Scott Young of Century, Florida.
Glennie M. Danie

Glennie M. Daniel, 89, of Cantonment, FL passed away on June 20, 2025. He was loved by so many. He was born in West Liberty, KY. He was married to Phyllis Yvonne Erickson Daniel. He came from a large family. His family and his work were his main joys in life. Glenn was a loving husband, father, grandfather (Papaw), and great-grandfather. He loved God Almighty, and he loved people.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Mintie Daniel; his first wife and mother of his children, Willetta Mae Bolin Daniel; brothers: Thirel Daniel, Bill Daniel, Joe Daniel, Danny Daniel; sister, Rachel Cantrell; and stepson, Chris Brumm.
He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis Daniel; his children: Glennia Alexander (John), Jeffery Daniel (Tina), Willetta “Dolly” Gales, John Daniel (Danese), Timothy Daniel (Teresa), Jennifer Daniel, Robin Musgrove (Greg), Earlene Wilson (Harry), Lisa Shoptaw (Roger), Tina Tedder (Rickey); his stepchildren: Linda Roth (Mark), Norman Brumm III, Nancy Brix (Jack); one sister, Sarah Deaton of Piqua, Ohio; and two brothers: Raymond Daniel (Phyllis) of Flat Gap, Kentucky and Donnie Daniel (Reta) of West Liberty, Kentucky; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On Thursday, June 26, 2025, a private family visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. An open visitation for friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 W. Nine Mile Rd., Pensacola, FL 32534; Followed by a Private Family Funeral.

Glenda Griffith Weekley, 71, of Cantonment, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 1, 2025. She was born in Pensacola, Florida, on May 18, 1954, to Donald Manuel Griffith and Ruth Elizabeth Martin Griffith. Glenda was a faithful and dedicated wife to John Edward Weekley for over 52 years.
Glenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. She lived a life filled with grace, kindness, and unwavering faith. A woman of God, she was the spiritual foundation of our family, always offering love, prayers, and wisdom to those around her.
Glenda had a passion for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, serving at her church, and spending time with her family. Her warmth, generosity, and strength touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ruth Griffith; and her older brother, Daniel Griffith.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John Edward Weekley; sons, Jason (Lolly Sumner) Weekley and Josh (Holli) Weekley; beloved grandchildren, Faith Ann (Brett) Livingston, Karsyn Dean, and Avery Weekley; great-grandson, Landon Livingston; twin sister, Gloria Griffith; nephew, Coy (Dakota Banks) Carter; great nieces, Allie (Tristen) Segers and Lacie (Clint Gunter) Carter; brothers, Dennis (Jenny) Griffith and Clifford (Becky) Griffith; and many more nieces and nephews.
We find peace in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered, with much love and respect.

Cody Lane Rolin

Mr. Cody Lane Rolin, who was 27 years old, sadly passed away in Mobile, Alabama on Thursday, May 29, 2025. He was a valued member of the Poarch Community Church, where he shared his faith and connected with those around him. Cody’s presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends, as well as by the community that cherished him.
He really loved spending his time outdoors, whether it was riding buggies or four-wheelers, or enjoying a day at the creek. He also had a passion for shopping and was a big fan of Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. When he wasn’t out having fun, you could find him watching his favorite shows like Seinfeld and Yellowstone. He cherished the moments spent with family and friends, always ready to party and make the most of every gathering. For him, life was all about good times and great company.
He is preceded in by his grandparents, Sylvia and Robert Hadley, and Peggy Couch; uncle, Earl Hadley.
Mr. Rolin is survived by his parents, Bryan and Lynda Couch of Atmore, Alabama; brother, Sean (Morgan) Rolin of Syracuse, New York; aunts and uncles, Lynn Hadley, Clifford Wasden, Edward and Kendall Hadley, Evan and Hali Hadley, Sandy and Donna Hadley, Aubrey and Tasha Rolin, Danny and Tammy Couch and Johnny Steadham.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC with Brother Walter Rolin officiating.
Burial will follow at Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.

Carl Phillip Nellums

Carl Phillip Nellums, 75, of Cantonment, Florida, passed away on May 24, 2025 in Pensacola, Florida. He was born in Bay Minette, Alabama on June 17, 1949 to Buck and Alfreda Nellums. He was married to Becky Nellums. He was a general contractor by trade, who over the course of his career built many quality homes in the Northwest Florida area.
Phillip was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He loved a good joke and liked to make others laugh. He always had a story to tell. He was a generous man and ready to lend a hand when it was needed. He was LOVED and will be missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Alfreda Nellums; and sisters, Dora Nellums and Doris Ejido.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Nellums; siblings, John (Judy) Nellums, Harriet Skinner, Catherine (Ron) Meyer, Robert Nellums, and Dorothy Nellums; children, Jerry (Anita) Nellums, Jeff (Angie) Doggette, Randy Doggette, Eddie (Natalie) Doggette, John Nellums, John (Amanda) Andrews, and Kristy Hill; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Altha Gene “Bo” Brantley

Mr. Altha Gene “Bo” Brantley, age 87, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at an Alabama hospital.
Mr. Brantley was born in Flomaton, Alabama and has been a lifelong resident. He is of the Baptist faith and attended Little Escambia Baptist Church where he was Sunday School Director for many years. On May 18, 2025, he was promoted to Deacon Emeritus after 65 years of being a deacon at Little Escambia Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the Flomaton High School class of 1956. He was a Flomaton High School Trustee, a Flomaton High School Sports Hall of Fame Member. He was also a nominee for AHSAA Hall of Fame. Mr. Brantley was a member of the Gideons International for more than 50 years. He was an honorary Lt. Firefighter and Chaplain for the Flomaton Fire Department. He was a founding member of the Escambia County Health Care Authority and served 30 years. Mr. Bo was a member of the Flomaton Chamber of Commerce and was a founding member of the Railroad Junction Day. Mr. Brantley was the host on the Friday night Radio Show WPFL “Pigskin Review”. He was the host on WKNU for Sunday Down South. Mr. Brantley was the radio host on WPFL for “Coach’s Corner” and “Fearless Friday Forecast”. He was on the B.O. & K.O. Radio show WTCB of Flomaton. He was also a member of the Tri-city Rotary Club. Mr. Bo Brantley was also an avid Alabama football fan and loved wood working and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents – Calvin (Tobe) and Lucille Brantley; and a granddaughter n law – Monica McCall.
Mr. Bo Brantley is survived by the love of his life for 67 years Mrs. Dot Brantley; one son – Michael Brantley of Philadelphia; two daughters – Sheri (Sam) McCall of McKenzie and Dee Dee (George) Litaker of Fairhope; grandchildren – Bo & Ashley McCall, Micha & Kristi McCall, Courtney & Justin Rabon, Josh McCall, Danielle & Ty Hughes, Lindsay & Christopher Jordan, Justin Litaker, Candace & Anthony Headland, Cole & Rachel Litaker; 17 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the chapel of Flomaton Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on May, 29, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M at Little Escambia Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Little Escambia Baptist Church with Bro Jonathon Hill and Dr. Larry Patterson officiating. Interment will be at Little Escambia Baptist Church Cemetery.
