Linda Minchew Crowder

Linda Minchew Crowder, a resident of Dothan, AL passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, at Southeast Health after a life well-lived and cherished. Born on July 21, 1945, in Nokomis, Alabama, Linda’s presence brought joy and warmth to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Linda’s journey through life was one marked by devotion, both to her faith and to her family. As a member of the Rainbow Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama, Linda’s belief and trust in Jesus were the cornerstones of her existence. The values she upheld were evident in her love and nurturing of her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Druie Minchew and Ila Tullis Minchew, along with four sisters and two brothers.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, James Crowder Jr., her son, Thomas Crowder, and her daughter Julia Braswell (Ray) Sisters, Retha Heston and Margaret Walker. Her love blossomed further with the arrival of each grandchild and great-grandchild. She took immense pride and boundless joy in her granddaughter Katherine Atwell and her husband Chet, her grandchildren Adam and Billy Crowder, and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Liam, Isabella, Gabriella, and Caleb Atwell.
Her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother was not merely a title but an identity she held dear, manifesting in every hug, story, and tender moment shared. Linda also embraced a community of friends, numerous nieces, nephews, and individuals whom she touched throughout her life. She had a passion for crocheting, a pastime through which she showed her care by creating tangible memories. Her affinity for butterflies was known to all, a symbol of the transformation and beauty she appreciated in the world.
Friends and family would agree that Linda was the embodiment of loving kindness. Her ability to listen, her gentle guidance, and her open heart made her a confidant and comfort to many. Her legacy is not merely in the family she leaves behind but in the countless lives enriched by her presence.
Teresa Lynn Williamson

, born December 26, 1955, of Molino, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Audrey Holder; her sister, Benita King; her son Ronald “Chad” Williamson; her grandson Carter Polanco-Williamson; and her nephew Bobby King. She is survived by her dear husband of 50 years, Ronnie Williamson; her daughter, Moriah Williamson; grandson Kaden Polanco-Williamson; her loving sisters, Deborah Andrews and Belinda Perry; along with her mother-in-law Edna Taylor; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Teresa was born in Pensacola and was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church. She graduated from Tate High School, and earned degrees from both Jefferson Davis Community College and Faulkner State University. She was a long time, dedicated board member of Harvesters Federal Credit Union, along with the Molino Historical Society.
She was lively and sociable – she could spark a friendly conversation any time, any where. She devoted much of her time caring for others; whether it be family, friends, or animals. She had many artistic hobbies and talents such as jewelry making, painting, pottery, sewing and crocheting.
Teresa was a fighter throughout her entire journey, and left a memorable impression on many of the nurses and medical staff at MD Anderson. We take comfort knowing that she no longer has to fight, and rests peacefully in the arms of Jesus Christ, her Savior. Services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 1000 Hwy 29 Cantonment, FL. Visitation will take place at 2:00 PM, with her celebration of Life following after at 3:00 PM.

Mr. Bill English, age 66, passed away, Monday, September 9, 2024 in Walnut Hill, FL; surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Walnut Hill and was a truck driver in the logging woods for many years.
Mr. English greatly enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. The hobbies he enjoyed greatly was shooting pool and singing karaoke. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was also a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
Preceded in death by his parents, Willie Thomas (Minnie Ruth Coleman) English, and one brother, William English.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Angie English, of Walnut Hill, FL; one son, Daniel English, of Walnut Hill, FL; one daughter, Emily English, of Walnut Hill, FL; one brother, Tom English, of Walnut Hill, FL; other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Agnes Pauline Pickern, age 88, passed away, Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Century, FL. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bratt, Florida. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bratt, where she served thirteen years as church secretary and this was her most beloved career.
Mrs. Pickern worked at Vanity Fair for many years. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren. She loved when she was able to cook for her family and anyone else that came along. Her women’s Sunday school class was something that she cared greatly for and she also enjoyed the time when she could teach the Sunday school group.
She is preceded in death by her father, O’Bannan McCall, mother, Cynthia Myrl Comalander, husband, Horace Pickern, two sister, Helen Hughes, Gail Smith, and one brother, Robert McCall.
She is survived by her three sons, Rev. Gene (Julie) Pickern, of Fort Worth, TX; Rick (Lonna) Pickern, of Robertsdale, AL; David (Debbie) Pickern, of Robertsdale, AL; one daughter, Jackie (Tommy) Steadham, of Robertsdale, AL; one brother, John (Maxine) McCall, of Bratt, FL; three sisters, Nancy Sessions, of Atmore, AL; Annie Bryan, of Atmore, AL; Debbie Cribbs, of Pensacola, FL; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Eddie Michael Privia, of Flomaton, Alabama passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on November 8, 1947, to the late Eddie Leonard Privia and Jeanette Carpenter Privia.
Eddie was a Flomaton United Methodist Church member and had a passion for life and his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard Eugene Privia; and special aunt, Murl Powell.
Eddie is survived by cousins, Ann and Pete Wilson; several other cousins; and many friends.

Sadie A. Harvey of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born in Sumrall, MS on November 1, 1927, to the late Robert Aultman and Bytha Jane Drennan Aultman.
Sadie was a homemaker and a salesperson for Dillard’s. She was a faithful member of Olive Baptist Church. Sadie was a great cook and enjoyed her plants, but her love was for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Harvey; and sons, Randy Harvey and Robert Harvey.
Sadie is survived by her daughter, Deborah Cotton; her four grandchildren, Tyler Cotton, Nathan (Cynthia) Cotton, Clayton Harvey, and Ashley Harvey; and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Sophia Cotton.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to services.

Mr. Jessie James Lambeth, age 94, passed away, Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Pensacola, FL. He was a lifelong resident of Flomaton, AL where he attended Lambeth Holiness Church, and Shady Grove Holiness Church. He helped reestablish and ministered the Allen Smith Holiness Church where he enjoyed attending most of his life. He owned and operated a trucking business for many years and served in the Korean War.
Mr. Lambeth was an avid hunter, fisherman that greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and eating. He enjoyed all the get togethers and telling some good stories.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest (Iver) Lambeth; wife, Mildred Lambeth; one son, Arnold Lambeth; seven brothers, Crumpton Lambeth, Marvin Lambeth, Burnace Lambeth, Preston Lambeth, Milard Lambeth, Bill Lambeth, Robert Lee “Bob” Lambeth; and one sister, Cody Wedgeworth.

Mrs. Joyce Lanell Bryars age 82, passed away, Friday, August 23, 2024, in Pensacola, FL. She was born November 25, 194l, to Robert Agee Jeter and Daisy Bell Davis, and has been a lifelong resident of Mineola. She was a member of Little River Holiness Church and enjoyed attending church services so much. She retired from Vanity Fair Mills with 44 years of service.
Mrs. Bryars enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with her family, along with traveling to the mountains. Christmas time was also her favorite time of the year. Watching westerns and wrestling was something that she enjoyed doing in the afternoons.
She is preceded in death by her husband, O.W. Bryars, and one daughter, Renea Pitts.
She is survived by her two sons, Franklin (Angelia) Bryars, of Bay Minette, AL; Timmy (Jackie) Bryars, of Perdido, AL; one daughter, Tammy Bryars, of Mineola, AL; one brother, Robert “Bo” (Lynn) Jeter, of Mineola, AL; four sisters, Louise Jeter, of Mineola, AL; Frances (Cecil) Willis, of Goodway, AL; Shirley (Sam) Hill, of Mineola, AL; Shelby (Jerry) Hayles, of Mineola, AL; Margaret (Tony) Richerson, Bay Minette, AL; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Martha Diane Gay passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 16, 2024, in Orange Park, FL, at the age of 74.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 56 years, Jerry Gay; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Gay (Mary); her daughter, Kelly Gay; her beloved grandchildren, Ella, Gavin, Mallory, and Avery; her sisters, Charlotte Dennis, Darlene Havard (Tommy), Sheila Carnley, Deborah Davis (Jay), and Sharon Hock (Ray); her sisters-in-law who were like sisters, Shirley Hales and Darlene Moye; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Leanell Carnley; her mother, Jeanette Carnley; her sisters, Brenda Blackmon and Sue Carnley; and her brother, Gary Carnley.
Diane was blessed with 7 sisters and 1 brother. She was taught her hard work ethic at an early age while working in the family-owned restaurant, Carnley’s BBQ. She met the love of her life, Jerry at the age of 16 at Molino Summer Recreation. After graduating from Tate High School, she married her best friend on October 8, 1968, in Molino, FL. They moved to Lubbock, TX while Jerry was stationed serving in the US Air Force. They eventually returned to Molino, where they lived and raised their 2 children. She was the most devoted Mom anyone could ask for. She never missed a game or an event and she showed her kids the meaning of a mother’s love. Diane and Jerry re-opened Carnley’s BBQ in 1990 alongside her parents. She was a successful restaurant owner for many years. Many family members and friends worked for her over the years. She always had a position for anyone that wanted it. In 1995 Jerry and Diane relocated to Orange Park, FL. She worked as the cafeteria manager for Grove Park Elementary for 15 years where she was loved by all the kids and staff. From 2004-2014 her pride and her joys were born and they became the loves of her life. Ella, Gavin, Mallory, and Avery were her biggest blessings. She was the best Nana to them and never missed an opportunity to show them how much she loved them and how proud she was of them. Just like her children, they were blessed with the best.
Michael, Mary and Kelly, and their children would like to once again thank their dad and Papa for taking such great care of Nana over the last 10 years. He never left her side and was always there to take care of her and to advocate for her until her last breath. He has shown us all the definitions of true love.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 South Hwy 29 Cantonment, FL 32533. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. before services. Burial will follow in Highland Baptist Cemetery, Molino, FL.

Elaine McKinley, 67, of Atmore, passed away on August 14, 2024, in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born on February 21, 1957, to the Late Reuben F. McKinley and Lois Overstreet Morris. She was a member of First Assembly of God church in Atmore, AL and her life was a testament to the power of her faith and her dedication to serving the Lord and others.
Elaine graduated from Escambia County High School in 1975 and began her career as a nurse. She cared for countless patients actively listening to their plight, providing a gentle touch, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being. Her natural ability to offer comfort facilitated healing and made her a cherished figure within her community.
Elaine later shifted her focus to education with the same compassion and attention to detail she brought to her nursing career, continuing a legacy of helping others. As an educator, she inspired young minds, dedicating herself to the growth and development of her students. She became a beloved mentor and guide in the classroom. Following her career in education, Elaine maintained a heart of service, and volunteered her time to serve as the Chaplain to Veterans and families at Billie Glenn Rushing American Legion Post 90, Atmore, AL.
Elaine was preceded in death by her father Reuben F. McKinley of Perdido, AL., Mother Lois Overstreet Morris of Atmore, AL, sister Rita Fay James of Atmore, AL., and brother Steve Morris of Atmore, AL.
Elaine is survived by her son, Matthew McGill, his wife Danielle, her grandson Levi, and granddaughter Chloe; all of whom she cherished deeply and were her pride and joy. She is further survived by her sister Patti McKinley Prater of Atmore, AL, sister-in-law Kristina (Steve) Morris of Atmore, AL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elaine’s nurturing spirit shone brightly in her professions and her passions, and her impact will be felt for generations to come. A celebration of her life will be held at Atmore First Assembly of God on October 6 th , 2024, at 2:00pm. The family has established a St. Jude’s memorial fund in her name and requests donations in lieu of flowers.
