Mr. Larry Jarman, age 63, passed away, Wednesday April 10, 2024 in Jay, Florida. He was born on December 31, 1960 in Pensacola, Florida, longtime resident of Cantonment, Florida and currently residing in McDavid, Florida. He was a faithful member of New Life Fellowship Church.
Mr. Jarman was an avid guitarist, enjoyed playing Gospel music at area churches. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching westerns, he was also a Florida State fan. He greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren with had his heart. He was employed by the Escambia County Road Department for the past 13 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Frank (Ruby Faye Little) Jarman; sister, Nell Moss; brother, Wayne Jarman; son Wyndall Black.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cara Jarman of McDavid, Florida; two daughters, Dawn (Matt) Carter of Byrneville, Florida, Ariel (Rickey) Foster of Virginia Beach, Virgina; brother, Tommy Jarman of Pensacola, Florida; four sisters, Sheila Hill of Pensacola, Florida, Judy (Mike) Gunn of Cantonment, Florida, Cindy Jarman of New York, and Alice (Lomax) Gunn of Cantonment, Florida; four grandchildren, Emily, Jayden, Evelyn, and Emilia.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Levon Caraway officiating.
Burial will follow at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 from noon until service time at 1 p.m. at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Foster, Mark Carter, Keith Faulk and Brad Faulk

Ann Davis Poppy

Ann Davis Poppy, age 77, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on April 6, 2024. Ann was born on February 4, 1947 in Pensacola, Florida to Maurice Alfred Davis and Dolly Connor Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Storey; and granddaughter, Emma Storey.
Ann was a graduate of Birmingham Southern University and had a career with the IRS before retiring. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Pensacola, Florida.
Ann was known for her love of cats, reading, and gardening. She had many beloved burry friends during the course of her life. She was a Master Gardener with the Escambia County IFAS Extension Office for many years. She enjoyed learning, and in her senior years returned to college to attend courses for the fun of it.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary Carole Sasser

Mary Carole Sasser passed away in Pensacola, Florida on April 8, 2024 at the age of 80. She was born on November 7, 1943 in Cartersville, Georgia to her parents, James Fletcher Miller and Ovalyne Katrina Hamilton as the oldest of two daughters.
Carole graduated from North Augusta High School in South Carolina in 1961. At the age of eighteen, Carole met and married her husband Jimmy Sasser on December 23, 1961 as he was beginning his military career in the Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. She was a devoted wife and loving mother of three children and despite being stationed in several foreign countries and in cities across America over a 22-year period, she handled the duties of being a military wife with patience and grace.
Carole is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jimmy Lamar Sasser; father, James Fletcher Miller; mother, Ovalyne Katrina Hamilton; and sister, Ethel Kate Delong.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (John) English of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Angela Maria Sasser of Pensacola, Florida; son, Lance (Shannon) Sasser of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Ashley L. Spencer, Brooke (Chase) Whitworth and Parker Nelson; great grandchildren, India Jade Whitworth, Richard Chase “Little Man” Whitworth Jr. and Remi Rose Whitworth.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 am, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Visitation will be one hour prior at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola.

Ronnie Joyce, Jr. 90, joined his wife, JoAnn in Heaven on April 8, 2024.
Ronnie was a born-again Christian, King James Bible Believer and a member of Charity Baptist Church. He is now in Heaven with Jesus, his wife, JoAnn, his son, Leonard and two of his best friends, Pastor Roy Julian and Wilbur Barry.
He is preceded in death by JoAnn, his wife of 60 years and son, Leonard Joyce.
Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Schaaf and his grandchildren, Brandon (Megan) Schaaf, Kayla Schaaf, Cavlin Schaaf and Megan Martin, Brothers-in-law, Wendell (Ruby) Potts, Alvin (Marie) Potts and Haywood (Teresa) Potts.
Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor James McGaughey preaching Ronnie’s Going Home Celebration. Burial will take place in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. Patricia “Patsy” Luverne Amon, age 81, of Atmore, AL passed away on April 10, 2024.
Patricia was born in Davisville Florida, to Robert Luverne Smith and Maggie Pearl Comalander Smith. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Patsy was a big Elvis fan and loved fishing in her early years. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Amon of GA; two daughters, Patricia Bryars Vaughn of Walnut Hill, FL and Rita Bryars of Panama City, FL; one great granddaughter, Kyla Charles and her four sisters, Betty House, Linda Greer, Sherry Powell, and Lanette Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Jackie (Danny) Gregg of Panama City, FL, Becky Angeles of Walnut Hill, FL, and Cathy Bryars of Repton, AL; one son, Henery (Bill) Pugh of TX; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two sisters, Glenda Morgan of Byrneville, FL and Peggy Johnson of GA and four brothers, Ronald Smith (Wanda) of FL, Roy Smith (Linda) of TX, Roger Smith (Maybelline) of TX, and Ray Smith (Mena) of TX. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lewis Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, FL.

Miliece Angelette Taylor, age 56, of Cantonment, Florida, passed away on April 8, 2024. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on November 29, 1967 to James and Clara Cage. She was married to Jerry Taylor for 15 years. Lisa worked as a Team Lead for Sacred Heart/ Ascension. She had a passion for interior design and cooking for family.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Taylor; son, Jordan (Courtney) Leonard; grandchildren, Maleek, Keyana, Myliece, and Kaleah Leonard; mother, Clara Mathews; brothers, Brian Hardiman and Dobbie Hardiman; sister, Yvonne Hardiman; cousin, Napoleon (Heather) Cage; aunt, Annie McIntosh.
Funeral service will be held at 5:00pm Monday, April 15, 2024 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 South Highway 29, Cantonment, Florida. Visitation will be held prior to service from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Jeanette “Jean” Moore-Dubbs

Jeanette “Jean” Moore-Dubbs, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at her home in Cantonment, Florida. She was born November 5, 1946, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
Following 35 years of service, Jean retired from the Department of the Navy (NAMI/NAS Pensacola). She also served as a faithful volunteer at Cantonment Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. She was passionate about serving her community and the department where her roles included being a first responder, EMT, board member, and a loving mentor to new recruits. Jean was also a Guardian Ad Litem for Escambia County.
In 2006, Jean married her soulmate, Bobby. The two of them loved to spend time with family and travel, taking many spontaneous trips. She also loved to cross stitch, watch Ice Pilots hockey, and spoil their precious pup, Booger.
Jean was a beloved mother and more than life itself, loved being “Granny”. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to her 4 grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Valeria Orris; stepfather, Chester Orris; father, James Mills and brother, Jack Oyler.
Jean is survived by her husband, Dale (Bobby) Dubbs; daughter, Toni White (Ernest); son, James Stankard (Mary); grandson, Brent White; grandson, Matthew White; granddaughter, Kally Stankard; granddaughter, Hope Stankard; sister-in-law, Joanne Oyler; brother-in-law, Gary Dubbs (Chella). And many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Visitation will be one hour prior at 10:00 AM. Pastor Zack Smith will be officiating.

Gwendolyn Hilley

Gwendolyn Hilley, 87, of Pensacola passed peacefully into Heavens Gates and into the Lords Arms on February 22,2024 after a brief illness.
Gwen was born to Aubrey F. Johnson and Ora Melvina Key Johnson in Pensacola, FL on August 16, 1936. Gwen was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. Gwen married Kenneth Hilley on December 18, 1965 and
shared 24 loving years together before his death in 1989.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband. She is survived by her 8 children Deborah Brown (Phillip), Michael Marabella, Ronald Marabella, Angela Ciampini (Lenny), Steven Marabella (Allison), Felicia Williford, Kendall Hilley Love (Scott) and Tommy Hilley. She is also survived by Eleven Grandchildren, Nine Great-Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Granddaughter, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Gwen was a loving Mom, Nana and MeMe. Everyone loved to gather at her house and enjoy her amazing cooking. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
There will be a private Family Service on Mother’s Day.
Jim Maloney

Jim Maloney, 94 years old, passed on April 4, 2024 with family at his bedside. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Narvel and Guanna Maloney; wife, Alpha; and son, Patrick.
He is survived by Sally (Jeff) Grace, Kathleen Maloney, Mile (Lisa) Maloney, and Diane Maloney, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, November 30, 1929. He attended TCU and received a Master’s degree in Chemistry. He married Alpha Davis in 1952. He was in the Army during the Korean conflict, then moved to Florida where he worked for Monsanto for 30 years. He was responsible for multiple patents and oversaw one of the labs in Building 707 during his tenure.
He loved his family immensely. Always willing to “hold our money” in order to help us save. He followed kids and grandkids all over the USA to watch them play sports. He was an avid photographer, wood worker, farmer and financial guru.
We could not have navigated this journey without our friends’ support and special caretakers, Anita Macks, Tiffany Snyder, Micki Catoe, Michele Ridenour, Monica Jareman, Gayle Capps, Carol Schlitt, and Cathy Boldizsar.
He will be so deeply missed.
Services for Jim Narvel Maloney will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Jim will be laid to rest at Bayview Memorial Park following the service.

James Alvin “Jimmy” Powers, age 84, of Atmore, AL passed away on April 1, 2024 in Bay Minette, AL. He was born on March 28, 1940 in Limestone County, Athens, AL to Floyd and Louise Collins Powers. He was a bus driver with Escambia County Alabama Schoo lSystem and attended Atmore First Assembly. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Anthony Powers, his brothers, Calvin “Lib” Powers, Pete “Inis” Powers, Bud Powers, and D.C. Powers, and his sister, Shirley Powers.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Mae Powers; his children, James (Thelma) Powers, Timothy (Kristie) Powers, and Vanessa (Todd) Dunn; his grandchildren, Kayla Powers, Brittany (Brandon) Hetrick, Charles Aymond and Jennifer (Jalen) Moorer; his great grandchildren, Isaiah “Mr. Alvin”, Joshua “Joshy Pooh”, Zack “Jack”, Zoey “Joey”, Andrew “Worrywart” and Raedyn “Squirt” along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Bowman
Cemetery.
