Lois Elizabeth Luker Amerson

Lois Elizabeth Luker Amerson, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and the best Grandma in the world passed peacefully in Allen, Texas on Friday, July 15th, 2022, at the age of 91. Lois was born October 18, 1930, in McCullough Alabama to Madora and Ezell Luker. She married Albert Elyan Amerson, Sr. on December 9, 1950.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband. She is survived by her sons and daughter in laws; Albert E. and Leah Amerson, Jr. of Colleyville, Texas, Danny and Sharon Amerson of Hammond, Louisiana, and Scott and Jane Amerson of Fairview, Texas. Lois had eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Lois was a devoted Christian and a long-time member of Presley Street Baptist Church. She retired from Monsanto before moving closer to her family in Louisiana and then to Dallas, Texas. Throughout her life, Lois was involved in numerous associations and social events. She loved and prioritized her family above all else while giving everyone unconditional love and support.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at noon at Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, FL.
A visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Our family believes that we have not lost our mother, Heaven has received another angel. Mom will live in our hearts forever, so we feel that there is no need to say you are sorry. In lieu of flowers the family requests making a donation in Lois Amerson’s remembrance to The American Cancer Society.
Sister Mary Stella McGhee Gibbs

Sister Mary Stella McGhee Gibbs, age 86, of Atmore, AL passed away on July 11, 2022 in Pensacola, FL. She was born on April 15, 1936 in Atmore, AL to Kinzie and Ethel McGhee. She and her husband pastored over 50 years at United Pentecostal Church of Atmore, AL. Upon the death of her husband, she co-pastored at First Pentecostal Church of McCullough until her passing. She was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Fred Gibbs; her siblings: Raymond McGhee, Willie Lois Fore, Joe Frank McGhee and Carolyn Rackard; her great grandson, David Landon White.
She is survived by her son, David (Patricia) Gibbs of Atmore, AL; her daughter, Rosemary Powell of Atmore, AL; her sister, Betty Ruth (Gene) Sheppard of Dothan, AL; her granddaughters: Ashley (Chad) White, Lindsay (Michael) Wood, Stacey (Kevin) White and LaRose (Mark) Watson and her great grandchildren: Hayden, LaReya, Bryson, Marcus, Huxley, Brayden, Kinzie, Kylie, Hadley and Khloe.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alton Lister, Rev. Steve Breceda and Rev. J.B. Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Cecil Corey, Ken McGhee, Chet McGhee, Jason Rackard, Jeremy Rackard and Tony Emily.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel.

Judy Annette Herring was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
She was born in Seattle, Washington on September 3, 1946 to the late Vincent and Ethel Harigel. Shortly after, they relocated to Escambia County, FL where she was a lifelong resident of Molino. She graduated from Pensacola Tech High School and later from Walker Beauty Academy as a hairdresser. Judy’s passion in life was her children and her grandchildren. She loved to visit the casinos, grow beautiful flowers and she never turned down a
cold diet coke or a good deal.
Judy is preceded in death by her father and mother, three brothers: VJ, Richard, and Freddy, and sister, Glenda Gulsby. She is survived by her son, Jason (Andrea) Herring, daughter, Christie (Corey) Whitaker, four grandchildren: Trent and Colton Herring, Miranda Whitaker, Alexandria Brunson, two great grandchildren: Luca and Ryker Howington, cousin, Ronny Beasley, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Olsen, Ryan Hall, Bobby Wyatt, Shane Harigel, Sheldon Harigel, Brandon Harigel, Bill Gulsby, Wayne Gulsby. Serving as Honorary pallbearers are Ronny Beasley, Sean Harigel, Jonathan Glass and Adam Chaney.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 9 am with the funeral service following at 10 am.
A procession to Pugh’s Cemetery in Molino will follow the funeral.

James T. “Mac” McNeill

James T. “Mac” McNeill was born in Clear Springs, Alabama on January 12, 1942, to Vadin and Verla Mae (Hendrix) McNeill. He passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
“Papaw” as he was most lovingly called was a very dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was proud to be an American and served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a longtime member of the Ensley Masonic Lodge # 278 and Scottish Rite. He retired from Beloit Corporation. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Peggy: daughter, Shelley McNeill-Trees (Sean) and son, James “Kevin” McNeill (Lori); Grandchildren, Ginny Corley (Patrick); Gracie McNeill and Emmy McNeill; Great-Grandchildren, Layton Corley and Maverick Cohenour; and very special “sister”, Connie Cogburn.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hollis, Paul Dykes, James Peacock, Ronnie Goodwin, Joe Curry and Robert Bodiford.
Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 6-8 p.m. at Faith Chapel North. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel North.
Burial service will be Monday, July 18, at 10 a.m.. at Eastern Gate Memorial.

William E. “Bill” Patrick was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 6,2022.
He was born in Columbus, Georgia on February 23 , 1955, to the late William Zeke and Doris Faye
Patrick. ln addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michae Jay Patrick and Father-in-law Duerwood A. Willis.
He is survived by his loving Wife of 37 years, Darenda Patrick; devoted Son, William E. Patrick lll (Suzanna); his adoring Granddaughter, Payton Patrick; Step-Granddaughter Payton Hill; Brother, Mark Patrick; and Mother-in-Law, Mary F. Willis. He is also survived by his Sisters-in-law Brenda Nix, Debra Jones (Tommy), Sheila Willis (Lee); Brothers-in-law Ronnie Willis (Lisa) and Gary Willis (Nancy). He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Bill leaves behind an honorable legacy as a man who always stood up for what was right. His dedication as a husband, father, and grandfather galvanizes this legacy. While family and friends often benefited from his kind words and actions, it was not unlikely for complete strangers to be treated with the same acts of kindness. Bill loved tending to his horses at the farm, yelling “War Eagle” at the Bama Fans and spreading smiles with his sense of humor. Bill will be missed by those who love him and his love for them will never be replaced. The memories will forever be warming to their hearts.

Doris Louise “Sue” Gohagin, age 82, of Atmore, AL passed away on July 9, 2022. She was born on August 2, 1939 in Atmore, AL to James E. and Rosa Malissie Harrison Taylor.
She worked at Judy Bond, Masland Carpets and Fred’s before retiring. Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who really valued her time with her family and friends. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Atmore, AL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James “Ed” and Rosa Malissie Taylor; her husband of 60 years, Joseph Howard Gohagin; her children: Tami Karen Gohagin and James Teril Gohagin; her brothers: Homer E. Taylor and Johnnie William Taylor and her sisters: Dorothy J. Godwin and Callie M. Irwin.
She is survived by her son, Dauphin (Rita) Gohagin; her grandsons: Keith (Ashley) Gohagin and Grant (Arica) Gohagin; her great grandchildren: Macy Byrd, Mallie Byrd, Brody Selzer, Jace Gohagin, Rylee Gohagin, Roper Peacock, Bristol Peacock, Bryndle Peacock and Baylor Peacock.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at McCullough Cemetery in McCullough, AL with Bro. Mark Peacock officiating. Interment will follow at McCullough Cemetery.

Billy Wayne (Bill) Sneed

This world lost an amazing and unselfish man on June 23, 2022. died at home in Cantonment, FL, at the age of 81, after a long journey with dementia and a short battle with cancer. Bill will be remembered for his strong devotion to his family, great sense of humor, outrageous storytelling, and a sincere desire to help others.
Bill was born in Russellville, AL, on January 21, 1941, to parents Carrie and Jack Sneed. He graduated from Russellville High School, class of 1960, where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. Football was always his favorite sport, and he was a lifelong fan of the University of Alabama football team. Roll Tide!!
After graduation, Bill enjoyed a successful career with Chemstrand/ Monsanto Company, working in the research lab in Durham, NC, and then in the 750 Building in Pensacola, FL. He later became a Technical Service Laboratory Coordinator for many years before retiring in 1996 after 35 years with the company.
On June 14, 1974, Bill married the love of his life, best friend, and traveling partner, Ruth Ann Carnley. Bill and Ruth raised three children in a blended family, continued their individual careers, and traveled to all fifty states, usually camping in their RV, and to many other countries. When they could no longer travel long distances, Ruth became Bill’s constant companion and encourager at and near home.
Bill was a member of Ensley Masonic Lodge#278, York Rite, and Scottish Rite. As a member of First United Methodist Church, Pensacola, Bill worked with other retired men doing repairs and restoration, (R & R). He also prepared meals in the church kitchen, served the hungry at Loaves and Fishes, and was a founding member of the Ike Terry Sunday School Class. For many years he volunteered at the information desk at West Florida Hospital. One of his greatest joys was going on fishing trips with his buddies and communing with nature.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his precious grandson Camden, his younger brother Bob, and his dear friend Ralph Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Ann Sneed, his daughter Sharon Lynne Yetzer of Pensacola, his sons, Todd Alan Carnley of Mobile and Brian David Sneed (Malyn) of Three Rivers, MI, seven grandchildren, three great-grandsons, his sisters, Betty Grissom and Glenda Williams, and his brother, Jackie Sneed (Dean). The family wishes to thank their special nurse Julie from Vitas Health Care for her kindness and care for Bill and Ruth.
A memorial service and celebration of Bill’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church, 6 E Wright Street, Pensacola on Friday, July 15 at 3:00, followed by a reception in the Wright Place. The service will be live streamed on the church website.

Thomas W. “Tommy” Holland Jr.

passed away July 6, 2022. Tommy was born in Pensacola, Florida, October 3, 1951. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was the manager of Pensacola Tire Center for many many years. He was a 1969 graduate of Pensacola High School and later received a degree from Pensacola Junior College.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Sr. and Bonnie Cook Holland and his brother David C. Holland.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela Robey Holland, his brother John D. Holland and wife Deborah, David’s daughter Morgan J. Holland and her fiancé Stevie Stokes, John’s son, Jonathan D. Holland and wife Tiffany, and their children Noah and Sunny.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Family visitation will begin at 10:30 AM followed by open visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.

William Donald “Don” McCrory, Jr. born in Pensacola, FL on November 1, 1968 left this world on June 24, 2022 in Birmingham AL at the age of 53.
Don was preceded in death by his grandparents: John & Helen Brinkman and William & Mildred McCrory; two aunts: Della Brinkman Railey and Bonnie McCrory Stacey; two uncles: John Brinkman Jr. and Benny McCrory; and countless other family members.
He is survived by his parents Eileen McCrory Tucker and William Donald McCrory, Sr.; brother Todd McCrory; son, Jon Vige, and granddaughter Blaire Vige; a very special friend, Susan Roldan; and many other family members.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on July 13 at 4 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 3 p.m
Thomas L. Silcox

, 88, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 after a long battle with chronic kidney disease.
Tommy was born April 2, 1934 in Seminole, AL to Annie Givens and Henry Davis Silcox. He was one of eight children and is survived by two sisters, Alyce Emmons, and Margaret McLarin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tommy graduated from J.M. Tate High School and joined the Air Force right after. He served during the Korean War and spent time deployed in Japan. After his military service, the majority of his career was with International Paper, where he met the love of his life, Max Blackwell. They married in 1964, had three daughters, and were blissfully married for 43 years until her passing in 2007.
Tommy was an all-around outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and camp.
He is survived by his daughters; Tina Conner (Ryan), Anita Day, and Donna Hastings (Scott); and 5 grandchildren; Taylor Rogers (Nate), Shelby Day, Payton Conner, Jaylon Conner, and Sydney Day.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Faith Chapel North at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m.
